Exactly. Spidey is able to Electro because he hasn't mastered his powers, and has a major confidence problem. Static Shock on the other hand has neither of those problems.
Well, I don't know about that. Static is powerful, but I don't think he can generate as much voltage as Electro can. What I do know is that Static has the edge in magnetism over Electro. And, skill-wise (due to the fact that he uses his abilities in ways Electro couldn't think of), he's a little out of his league. Also, Static (cartoon version) has telepathic immunity due to his abilities. Don't know if Electro has it also. I understand that Spidey has his experience with electric users, but I think it's safe to say that Spidey isn't going to beat Static as easily as he would Electro.

Wow, didn't see that coming. It's understandable that Static could win since I see Spiderman beating Electro using wit more than anything else, considering Max isn't the brightest bulb in the box. I guess Peter can't pull the same stunts around Virgil due to the fact that the boy isn't an idiot.

Idk I really wouldnt say Electro was stupid,he just doesnt uae his powers as cleverly as Static does. I mean he is an electrical engineer and he worked for Oscorp. Not to mention after he gained his powers, he was pretty much all electrical energy so he was definitely able to generate a higher amount of voltage against Spidey than Static ever could mostly because he was pure electricity. Spidey never had a problem dodging his attacks after fighting him and finding out what he's capable o. Not saying it'd be easy but Im pulling for the webhead on this one, he always finds a way to win. I mean, come on he went toe to toe with Thanos for a little while

funny how you mentioned my user name pastepotpete here well i dont have the actual comic because i would like to show more scans but in this comic here spiderman is fighting both the shocker( similiar powers to static shock ) and pastepotpete at the same time while his arm is crazy glued to someone elses arm
@blackwind: For me as a young child I believed it was. His villains where completely ridiculous. They were like stereotypical juvenile delinquents you see on tv. In fact they remind me of the kids from the movie High School High. But I will say this the cartoon was ok. Until I saw the episode where the Justice League appeared I was like AWESOME!!!
@stormphoenix: That's part of what Static's world was like. It wasn't supposed to feature world ending threats. Its supposed to be about his friends, his life, and his neighborhood. And those things all do happen, and plenty of people go through them.
Bullied kids do bring guns to school at times, unfortunately. Artists do have their music stolen. Kids do get sucked into gang violence. And dome family members do exploit each other for personal gain.
They're all supposed to be stories that hit home to actual life.
