Nice necro... But really. DBZ power scaling makes no damned sense and never has. Akira Toriyama doesn't put much thought into any of this and it's plain to see over and over and OVER again throughout the entire franchise. Nothing makes any damned sense after Freiza. Despite the characters becoming several times more powerful just by the final fights with Cell, fights became less and less pyrotechnic and with far less collateral damage overall.

Then you have SS2, SS3, SS4, and SSG. Which suddenly makes everything before them look like children regardless of how powerful they actually are.

SSG > SS4. The movie explains this; "God" energy is not normal battle power. It's an entirely different dimension. How all of you self proclaimed "DBZ Geniuses" miss this when the move SPELLS IT OUT FOR YOU is beyond me.

so basically you're saying that Dragon Ball doesn't make sense because the collateral damage is minimized ? i see that you're forgetting how this "minimized collateral damage" is a common concept used in every manga, every comic book, for instance Superman himself gets knocked out cold and bleeds from hits that didn't even cause the street to blow up, another instance where Classic Beyonder tank an energy attack that could destroy several billion universes, and guess what? the room where Beyonder was standing didn't even shake, another instance where Galactus exert himself to pierce a shield with what look like a bus explosion level blast, do you really think Galactus would exert himself to destroy a bus? think again.

when you say that "God energy is an entirely different dimension" it's no difference from saying orange is entrirely different from banana, they are 2 different kind of energies that's all, it makes no sense to say that "what ever level of ki it will be always below god energy" unless you have a canon proof of that. for me it makes no sense to say that someone who's 4000x more powerful than SSJ3 is still weaker than SSG just because god energy is something else than Ki. got it?

The SSJG was Toryama's original design for Super Saiyan. I guess he just wanted to utilize it at some point. In my opinion, I would have preferred a more imposing design.

Varied 'official' sources give out power levels now and again (Official Companion Guide books, Ultra Jump gives out a few and of course Video Games too) but people really shouldn't look into power levels too much as Toriyama has stated that they really don't matter.

I only made that for people that actually do consider them to be important (because there are quite a few people that justify power levels as proof).

i don't know what are your sources but i already checked that a time ago, the only official canon sources of PL are from the manga and the Daizenshuus. Any PL figures other than the ones listed in those 2 sources are all based solely on the opinions of fans and are not considered canon, including V-Jump, Weekly Jump, and video games.

and PL do matter, what Toriyama sais is taken out side of contexte and spread in the net without knowledge of facts. In fact, inthe interveiw where Toriyama mentioned PLs, he said that power levels are there to fool the bad guys because they don't sense Ki and because the Z fighters can hide their real PL, thus why reading PL in scouters doesn't matter.
