SS/BM VS Thor/Gladiator VS Hulk/Sentry VS Hyperion/Ronan

but i dont like how Sentry is so mis-used here + i hate Bendis

Heck, Surfer was even able to beat him once Terrax started losing too much power (as in your scan) right? Oh but wait, didn't Surfer fight him again..

Umm... Yeah so Surfer was completely owned by a character that Sentry and The Thing made look like a joke. So please start using facts if you want to go this route. Also, I actually like the Surfer, so I won't show you the scans of him getting owned by Black Panther and Spiderman.

Just using the facts that WWH beat Surfer (while they both were depowered) and that Surfer has never beaten Thor (even Post annihilation Surfer only stalemated Thor, a guy who has never gotten the better of Sentry) just goes to show you that even unstable Sentry (the only guy I have been talking about) is out of these guys leagues.

@newblood2333: You ever hear of a thing called context? It's awfully useful at illuminating the background of certain stories. Such as the fact that the Surfer who thought Terrax was one who'd only just gotten his Power Cosmic, not the Surfer who was much more experienced. And that Surfer was only beaten by Hulk after being distracted, his Obedience disk destroyed and Norrin letting his guard down long enough for Hulk to sucker punch him. As I said, context is a very useful thing, maybe you should try it more often.

Bendis... Sentry was actually a decent character with the idea of powers based on mental stability but Bendis ruined him so hard core

@lvenger: Surfer with experience? Post annihilation? Didn't he just "stalemate" a regular Thor? So how much stronger did he really get? Him getting distracted during his fight with Hulk just goes to show you his inconsistacies in battles. Surfer hasn't been faring to well with any incarnations of "hulks" lately.

I don't think that it's so bad, really.
He should have been another "deus ex machina" but his mental flaws instead makes him an interesting character, even he "died" at the end of Siege.
Now he is back in bigger story and I think his potential will be used better.

@highaccuser: Theres a reason he's been called "The Most powerful Hero in the Marvel Universe" and the Surfer of the other guys haven't been called it once. There's a reason that on the cover of the Sentry's comics it says "Most powerful Superhero in Marvel" while it doesn't say that on anyone elses cover. Theres a reason that Sentry has been called the Most powerful character in Marvel by other characters (by Shield, Iron Man, Reed Richards, Spider-man, etc.) but the other guys haven't. It's because he is!! hahaha

Thor beat Sentry, SS can beat sentry, Adam Warlock can beat Sentry ( i bet you dont know who Adam Warlock is), Gladiator can beat Sentry

@serrure: Thor didn't beat Sentry. First of all, it was a team of characters vs the Sentry that were amped up by the Norse Stones. Know what the Norse stones did? it took the powers of the other people that were there (3 teams) and gave it to the three that were fighting the Sentry. Plus the Sentry begged to be killed. I have scans of all this if you need it. Want scans of Loki calling the Sentry "all-powerful"? Theres only one that is called "all-powerful" in Marvel and it's Odin. So this was a direct comparison to him.

The rest of the people you metioned is just too much to get into to. With the Senty's powers being limitless, he won't lose here unless he has a mental breakdown.

@serrure: The important point into this is that his powerlevel can rise up drastically.

He is intended this way.

If you compare him to other classical Marvel character he has just a few showings (except Matthew Malloy maybe) and has notable feats.

And it's clear that his potential is huge.

@comicdude360: how is hulk not on supermans level? The only reasons superman wins is speed, sure their physicals are loosely comparable but as far as tiers go hulk is easily up there with guys like thor and supes.

Gladiator and thor should win here, SS is probably the most powerful but factoring in that his team mate is useless and his history agains thor is horrible then I doubt he can do much.

@newblood2333: I don't care about presentation or statements. Sentrys not the most powerful hero in marvel. Even if we count the voids feats as his own(they aren't) legion would still be way more powerful. A voidless sentry would get stomped by almost anyone here.

Current Sentry is undoutbedly the most powerful hero on Earth.

And he is voidless. ^^

The point is that a Stable Sentry don't use tendrils because he is inhibited : a hero don't use darkness manipulation but light manipulation. It's how Bob Reynolds created the two characters.

Even without that a Stable Sentry is the most powerful here.

Team SS/BM wins IMO.

@realitywarper: current sentry isn't even a hero, and no, he's not. A case can be made for starbrand or silver surfer being more powerful than DSS. Legion most certainly is. Why you're talking about tendrils I don't know.

Nobody here is beating Silver Surfer.

Not inevitably : Bendis stated that Bob has different degrees in his personnality because he didn't saw the character has black or white (I think that I already said that somewhere o_O).

There is a bit of the Void in the Sentry, and a bit of The Sentry in The Void.

In fact, his powerset is unique : what differs is his way to use it according to his mental state.

* You can see that in Uncanny Avengers he uses tendrils even there is no more Void.

* I guess that he don't use tendrils and "dark things" in general when he is The Sentry (stable or not) because that's not in character : he can't roleplay the Good Side this way.

* And inversely when he is The Void.
