He barely won in the fights he had in the movies, and his villains were A LOT weaker than their comic counterparts.
 
I can't think of a single Spider-Man comic villain that movie Spidey could beat.

BTW Sandman had better showings in the movie, than in is first comic book appearence

Well not alot of villans and heroes start off powerful in there first appearence

in spider-man 3 Peter was actually pretty badass. Toyed with Harry and venom and did good against Sandman

wasnt the movie version portrayed as quite a bit stronger, and he would never have to refill his web fluid

Before OMD, Peter didn't need to refill his webs either. 
 
And no, comic spidey is significantly stronger.

well Movie Spider-man  didn't really display even 2 ton strength so i think he would get messed up pretty good

i didnt think they were really that different, i think the movie was called umn......... oh ya SPIDERMAN, so he would probably do ok against his villians

Spider-man movie version was capable of tossing that structure on his back which is about 10 tons according to my calculations.

Watch at 6 minutes. And he actually throws it, which means he can lift more than 10 tons.
