Spider team runs a gauntlet

Spider-Man(back in black), Venom (Eddie) and Carnage run a gauntlet. Standard version of each character and standard equipment. Random encounter so no prep. No sonic based weapons. Win by death (or incapacitation for healing factor characters). Battle takes place in uninhabited Manhattan. Team starts on the opposite side of Manhattan.

Team heals fully between each round.

Round 1: Captain America, Black Panther, Punisher, Black Widow, Hakweye

Round 2: Green Goblin, Luke Cage

Round 3: Colossus and Thing

Round 4: Wolverine, Rhino, Deadpool, Beast, Crossbones

Round 5: Sandman, Iron Man (regular armor)

Round 6: She Hulk, Red She-Hulk, Silk, Iron clad

Round 7: Abomination

Round 8: Black Panther, She Hulk, Silk, Captain America, Wolverine, Punisher, Luke Cage, Iron Man, Beast

Let me know how you think each round goes! How far can they make it!

Hmm, I'm going to say stops at 6. Spider-Man has danced around Thing and tossed him around quite a bit, and Colossus is great on paper, but mainly just takes a dive to prove how great his opponent is.

Did I miss an upgrade on Abomination that he can now take out two She-Hulks?

Stops at 8.

When exactly has Peter tossed Thing around "quite a bit"?

Since Spidey had already beaten Hulk, i can see the Team go up to Round 8 and lose.

Stops at 3 or 8.

I think the team could make it to round 8, but they would NOT clear.

Stop at 5, they are not beating Sandman in a random encounter.

Sure as hell they don´t stop at 3.

I see Spidey holding Thing while Venom and Carnage beat Colossus and then it´s 3 vs 1, poor Thing.

The thing is not a jobber. I have no idea where this myth came from.....

@thor_parker82: Thing doesn't usually job, throughout his publication history he's actually had more high end feats than low end ones. But if we are going by low end feats, Peter has jobbed just as much if not moreso.

Ben is pretty smart, i could see him just thunderclapping Spider-Man down and the webs won't really hold him, even Rhino who is a lot weaker than Thing has broke free. Rhino is at best 70 tons, now this is Thing. I wouldn't doubt that huge glass and steel pyramid would weight above 200 tons.

Lately, not so much. Last time they fought was Thing amped with a 'hammer of the worthy', and while Thing eventually walked away and Spider-Man was exhausted, he couldn't actually land a good solid hit. In a 'to the death' battle, Thing still needs to breathe. I'm not sure that Colossus can be killed, but there are ways to incapacitate him.

@tyger: by standard version of each character I meant abomination when he almost killed the hulk. I think he can handle the she hulks but I'm not positive.

Oh yea, the Fear Itself fight. Angrir wasn't fully focused on fighting Peter, and he even admitted he couldn't hurt this version of Thing. If you're implying Peter would try to shove webbing down Ben's throat to kill him, that'd be a helluva lot harder than Ben hitting him only once if he's actually trying to kill him as much as Peter would be to try something like that.

Thing is much stronger than Spidey, there is no doubt about that, but due to Peter´s agility Thing would have a lot of trouble in putting him down, webs won´t hold him for long but they can slow him down, they can hold him long enough for Peter to connect 3-5 hits. Peter can hold Ben long enough for Venom and Carnage to beat Colossus and then it´s 3vs1 and I can´t see Thing beating them.

They stop at 3 unless the Spider team find a way to host their bodies. But it's a definite stop at 5.

now just add a 30-40 tonner and 50+ tonners into the rumble ON spider-mans team and thing is destroyed, incapped and so is collussus

@spider-manwins: I don´t recall Peter lifting a building but if he did, that´s very high end, still, I see Spider-Team beating Thing and Colossus 9/10.

@spider-manwins: Damn, I don´t remember that, I read Strazcynski´s run a long time ago, it is still really high end though.

@spider-manwins: It shouldn't be, Thing is head over heels stronger than Peter. Peter can't do anything to put him down or even give him pause.

the only thing that thing has going for him is his durability

spider-man can definitely "hurt" with his punches, although relying on h2h would ultimately make spider-man lose

evading and webbing would allow spider-man to win

@spider-manwins: The only truth to your comment is that Peter can out maneuver him, and that's only true for so long. How exactly is he gonna incapacitate Ben? With webbing he can flex out of like tissue paper?

Peter most certainly cannot hurt Thing with his punches. He'd be more liable to break his hand than cause any sort of discomfort.

Didn't Colossus practically one shot gargan venom? He was holding back while Venom went all out. I don't see how they clear round 3.

Probably stops at 3. If they make it by on some miracle then stop at 7.
