I've always wanted to read the Ali comic as it is such a ridiculous idea. Has he got Kryptonite in his gloves? Wasn't there an episode of Lois and Clark were he fought cybernetically enhanced boxers?

Doesn't count. Superman was without powers at the time. But that doesn't even matter, the Black Superman would take out spiderman too.

I think Supes would have trouble taking on a heavy weight boxing legend without his powers. I can't think of any powered hero that could. Most have only modest combat training.

Yeah... I personally like Superman better so he gets the cool vote as well as the beat vote.

The beat vote is an easy one though, consider their abilities, Superman can move WAY faster then spiderman, he can fly, he's invunerable, basiclly, Spiderman can't actually hurt Superman. Honestly though very few other heroes CAN hurt superman...

ALthough, if spiderman managed to melt down some kryptonite and mix it into his web stuff (depends on ur version of spider man, the cartridge version or the natural web version) then it'd be a different story. Not nessacrily a spiderman win, because if superman knew there was kryptonite mixed with the webs he'd probably blast them with his heat vision before they got close to him, but if he wasn't expecting kryptonite webbing, then spiderman has a shot.

Even if he did, Supes moves faster than light. It wouldn't hit him. Face it, Spidey's doomed.

I remember that specific giant-sized comic, and the equalizer there was they were fighting underneath a red sun fragment. So...take that into account before you start bashing Supes. Maybe under a red sun, Supes is quite a warrior, but not the top of the pack. Just something to think about.

Superman would win...BUT, Spider-Man has a power set that's unique and would definitely take supes some time to adjust to someone as strong, and agile as  Spidey. So, initially Spider-Man catches Supes off guard with his weird fighting style, but he gains the upper hand in the end.
