Well its the Author's who give Thor his feats, so I fail to see the distinction honestly, especially since the Authors seem to make it very clear that Outside of his hammer, Thor has no impressively defined travel speed feats, and no combat speed feat too for that matter. The Author's are not saying that Thor struggles to tag Street-Levelers too make things fair, they are saying Thor struggles to tag streets because he struggles to tag streets. Your making it sound like Thor as a character has some type of moral conduct and reasoning outside of what Writers put forward for him. Not true. Thor is a product of Marvel Writers who have given him consistent feats showing speed, or the lack there of in the last 50 plus years.

The thing is though, if you look at the Heavyweights Thor Fights, alot of them are know for not utilizing their speed themselves

Silver Surfer- Known Nanosecond Reaction times, but hardly ever uses them in character

Gladiator- Same deal, and even he has caught Thor by surprise with his Speed.

BRB- Not really fast.

Thanos- Not really fast.

And too be honest, maybe their is a pattern, but such patterns don't really mean much when I have writers both off Panel, and on Panel telling me and other comic-book readers that Thor isn't all that fast. I don't mean to rustle any jimmies here, but when your interpretation of how Thor acts against characters of different power levels don't match up to what's presented in front of me, I respectfully will go for the what I can see, and what has been stated by actually Marvel Writers

Not Really. Thor's made out to be sentient. What's wrong with him holding back a punch, and still tagging the Street-Leveler who is giving him grief. Plenty of Characters have and will continue to do that .

In all honesty, I highly doubt I'm going to change my mind when it comes to Thor's speed. Hes heavily inconsistent between team books and solo titles. I'm kinda done with the whole Thor speed threads, because everyone has an opinion on it and isn't gonna change their mind on it. A: Thor has super-speed in the manner of being able to travel great, even interplanetary distances with his hammer. But that's not the same thing as being able to run across town really fast, or even to being able to punch a hundred times a minute or anything.

@jayc1324: I agree that he's not as slow as Eric Masterson. He still had a similar sort of trouble with an exercise meant to improve and test combat-speed.
