I can't wait to see two opposing fans who are usually trying to defend both of these characters' speed go against each other.

Thor is much faster than Hulk, when he wants to be.

But in fight like this, it could go either way, as Thor will try to go hit for hit with Hulk.

It depends which version, as Classic Thor was able to be at 3 places at once.

I'd say it would be about even, since these two have a tend to slug it out together. That being said, I think Thor's reaction speed is better than Hulk's.

in their first fight it confirms that even though they are close in speed Thor is much faster. However that was a long time ago. But Thor has the better speed feats overall they just only come out when necessary.

Thor has been in 3 places at once before(Classic Age).

Thor is able to go warp speed, and can travel from the Earth to the Sun in a few minutes; while that may be a travel speed feat, it still shows how much faster Thor is when he wants to be.

Hulk has reacted to Quicksilver, by a flick of a hand.

Thor has reacted to the God Mercury, by dodging his hits.

Thor IMO, Quicksilver is fast, but Thor is faster than Quicksilver, despite his rare collection of showings.

While Marvel Mercury has no speed feats, Mercury being the quickest among the Greek Gods, makes Thor extremely fast reaction wise, as you do not become the messenger by being slow..

That too. Hulk is also sporting better performances against street levelers in comparison to Thor too boot.

I'd honestly say Thor is only really a little bit faster than peak humans like Batman.

@wolverine08: I don't really want to have an argument, but I'm just wondering why you say Thor is street level speed wise, when he's had showings that put him well above that? I know he's had some low showings, but he's had some pretty good ones too. Like I said I don't want to debate who's faster, but I'm wondering why you regard him as street level in the speed department.

I'm not even talking of just the low showings really, and even then, the low showings are fairly consistent, making them valid, not just one off incidents. Thor's best speed feat is reacting in microseconds, something that Iron Fist, a street leveler, was able to accomplish fairly easily.

Thor frankly doesn't have any speed feats that make him better than your run of the mill street leveler, and he almost always gets shown up speed wise when he runs into high tier street levelers like Spider-Man or Wolverine fairly easily.

@wolverine08: I know when he faces street level characters he's usually slower, but how would he occasionally hang with people much faster than him? (Sentry, SS, ect)Thanks for your input though, I appreciate it. Although I think Thor's best reaction feat is intercepting Ego.

Most of the time when Thor is fighting people like Sentry or Silver Surfer, they aren't making attempts to blitz him and just get into brawls more often than not. They could run circles around them if they really wanted to. In regards to the Ergo feat, that is Thor's flight speed. With flight speed, Thor is definitely FTL, but with his combat speed/reactions, he's a street leveler.

@wolverine08: that feat is technically reaction since he'd have to be able to actually perceive and charge at Ego. I know his travel speed was involved, but if he was as slow as Wolverine, Ego would of plowed through him before he got a chance to swing his hammer and charge at him.

Yeah, but comics don't tend to distinguish between things like that. Flight speed is flight speed and combat speed is combat speed.

Thor has better speed and reaction speed than someone like Quicksilver, who is above Hulk, despite Hulk once reacting to Quicksilver.

@reaverlation: Wrong! People that fights Hulk look like their not using their speed, but it's totally the opposite... Hulk is so fast he makes them look like they're not using speed at all! Hell, Hulk is so fast he dodged that fatality!
