Let me tell you I know 40K like the back of my hand

And a power sword cleaves through power armour like a knife through not butter

A chainsword will take a awhile just to get past the shields alone

I don't know much about the salamander chapter, but aren't the ultramarines the cream of the crop? I heard they are the most elite space marines. Right behind the Space Wolves. Though, my Warhammer 40k knowledge isn't spot on, so I can't really be dependable on debates like this, but I always believed ultramarines were right behind space wolves in terms of combat prowess.

@the_last_kryptonian: No, sure Ultramarines are Imperiums posterboys but that's because they are so disciplined and will adhere to the codex no matter what but they are far from being the most elite chapter.

Probably because you've been reading too much Matthew Ward. When he rewrote the ultramarine codex he made them, how shall we say... more prominent in the Imperium then they used to be. Others call it a lot less nice things. Anyway he made a lot of people mad with his changes and if you said this in a shop there would be an argument.

The Ultramarines are considered the standard. Other chapters tend to be better than the ultramarines at something, but worse than them at others. So their main strength is simply being well rounded.

Vanliia Marines, I mean Ultramarines.

Also 90% all Second, Third, ect Founded Chapters are made by Ultramarine Geneseed, thus fight and act mostly the same way Ultramarines Founding Chapter do.

Thats cool so i hope u noticed that neither fighter has a Helm of any sort.So its safe to say while the Ultramarine is cleaving through the Salamanders guts the Salamander would be giving the Ultramarine a Haircut with a few inches off the top, middle & Bottom :)
