Yeah, it's not like Goku's the only character in fiction with that name. There's the aforementioned tailed beast, as well as the main character of Saiyuki.

Well, it definitely worked on me. For the fight, Naruto is much too recent for me, I have never watched or read anything about this manga, so I can't participate to the debate.

Goku would be amazed by Kal's giant wee wee, but Kal would be amazed by Goku's awesome hair. Also, Kal would want to learn how to throw Kamehamehas and not rely entirely on heat vision blasts, which are dependant on the stored energy inside his eyes or something. I'd think superman would want to learn how to use Ki like Goku so he can learn the Instant Transmision. Imagine what Superman could do with that ability, as fast as he is, he wouldnt need to fly anymore to distant places or look for people, just teleport right to them. Superman can fly over every being he comes across and probably retain the knowledge of what their ki feels like, and would be able to teleport to them instantly any time.

Reasons why this should be locked:

• Clearly a bait thread.
• A one-sided battle in favor of DCAU Superman.

There is nothing in Son's bag of tricks that would do any lasting damage to Superman. Superman literally had a fight while submerged in lava and it didn't even phase him.

And just because two characters share the same name doesn't mean it's bait. If the fight had been against 9 tails I would've said Kurama vs Superman.

@etheral_dreams: Location = Namek. So ofc it looks a lot like a "bait". That and the name is Son Goku to boot.

Anyway, Superman has taken a planet busting attack and just got knocked out. Son cannot do much here, if anything at all. Falling into hephaesus's forge or sundipping would suggest lava cannot hurt him.

You set the fight on Namek, just so you could nab the skimmers as well as those that didn't read the OP. I mean, c'mon.

As far as the tailed beast ball... the power depends on the user. I haven't seen Son use anything that would knock Superman out, much less kill him.

Mountai buster attack might k.o superman, but his spped should be good enough since in the show he was masively hypersonic
