OK so my and my dad have been having this debt for about a month or so..........Who wins in the fight between the DCU's resident swamp dwellers. The resurrected behemoth of a zombie brought back to life by the plant life Solomon Grundy or the Human mutated by the plant life to become a plant himself the Swamp thing. Now I realize that Solomon Grundy is super strong but he's not known for his speed and every time he dies he just keeps coming back. Then there's Swamp thing (the original concept not the he's actually plant that copied the human structure) who can regenerate and is also super strong as well. Yes, Swampy still has his Human intelligence from Dr. Holland and Grundy is well as dumb as a bag of hammers (Solomon Grundy not Cyrus Gold). I need your help to decide comicvine. You tell me who wins and why.
Solomon Grundy vs. The Swampthing
" Grundy from his mini-series won't go down, I think. "yes he will, easily too.
im gonna go with swamp thing. he can take grundy to lot's of places. he's against the rot. he will probably find a way to deal with grundy.
Swamp Thing for sure. It seems like you want to use the version that changed back in the 80s which just doesn't make sense to me. As for how, Swamp Thing could create clones, drop into the green to maneuver around him, reconstruct himself however he wants, etc. Hell, if he got tired he could jump to another planet and regroup. They did clash in Swamp Thing #67 when Grundy was chosen to be the new plant elemental that was birthed when the parliament of trees thought Swamp Thing dead. However the parliament had locked Swamp Thing out of the green, so there wasn't much of a fight. Like I said I don't see the point in using the incarnation and abilities of the outdated version.
