Solid Snake vs Superman (Rules & Scenario)

Foxhound has deemed superman too dangerous to let live and have intel on Superman's weakness. They have tasked snake with two missions. First, break into lex luthor's private storage of Kryptonite and steal as much of the substance as you can. Snake has composite gear for missions (aka everything stealth, but nothing lethal). Second, take down the man of steel in a metal gear that is coated with Kryptonian and that is armed with kyrptonite tipped saws and a laser firing EMR comparable to a red sun. Third, if the mech fail, snake escapes and attempts to assassinate Superman a year later with a kryptonite knife (which will kill assuming he can avoid superman's detection). Can snake obtain the material? Can he survive the wrath of superman in his custom mech? Is he truly a master of stealth? What do you guys think?

Whatcha think? Also, it's classic superman, not sundipped or 1 million, just super strong, superfast, super durable, super senses, heat vision, and ice breath, no reality warping or god powers.

Snake can definitely steal the kyrptonite. If he has to fight Supes in a straight 1v1 fight, even with it, he'll lose due to speed and strength difference. If he gets to assassinate him, he may be able to pull it off. The mech would get trashed in like one sec in a straight fight.

Superman should win.

@salqon: Yea that's sort of what I was thinking. Since Supes can move and fight FTL when needed, he's just going to end it quick once he notices the kryptonite, which takes a while to seriously deplete him.

As cool as an anti-Superman Metal Gear sounds, Snake can't win. The only way Snake has a chance is if the Metal Gear is somehow fast and durable enough to keep up with Clark.

Snake can react to hypersonic speeds, but Superman, even with the kryptonite, will speed blitz and dismantle the mech before the kryptonite even has much effect. I don't see any scenario where Snake actually beats a character this powerful and fast.

Even if the Metal Gear was somehow fast enough to keep up with Superman, Snake's awareness and reaction times aren't THAT fast to where he can pilot the mech to put up any sort of fight. This match is a pretty big stretch of Snake's abilities IMO.

I like this thread. I think Snake can succeed in round 1, the most notable example of the Lexcorp's security system is Batman having a bit of a hard time infiltrating, but then succeeding anyway. So I don't see why a similar stealth master couldn't replicate it. Round 2 is funny, but without some more context in Snake's favor he'll inevitably lose.

Round 3 is possible, it all hinges on Snake ambushing Clark Kent when he's unsuspecting. Superman consciously increases his own reaction time, normally he perceives the world like a regular human. If he was in Superman-mode then he would be a mile away the instant he feels the blade against his flesh, and that's assuming the Kryptonite effects don't tip him off as soon as Snake gets within range.

Snake doesn't even need kryptonite to beat Superman.

Ok, he should be able to steal the Kryptonite, I don't know about the fight(probably loses) and I doubt very seriously he would be able to sneak up on Superman. After all, he does have x-ray vision(when he wants), super hearing(when he wants and sometimes when he isn't trying), among many other abilities. Maybe if Superman was distracted by something else at the time, but even then its a doubt.

Snake is gonna Lose this one. He's not a pilot so hes not gonna be great fighting Supes in the metal gear even with kryptonite. He can def steal the material from Lex, if snake really needed o kill Supes hes gonna need major major help from Otacon. Not fox hound
