• Snake has the following: Sniper, CM901 Assult rifle with granade attachment, 2 Desert Eagles,Military machete and 4 granades, thermal goggles, 2 stun granades and his camo box

• Predator has all his standard equipment

• Morals off

• Start 500 metres apart

Location: Black Hawk Island

If Schwarzenegger can, Snake can. But not with only 5 mins prep and 500m away. No morals predator is too much for Snake since he cant mask his body heat in 5 mins and pred has a cloak that snake cant counter (give Snake his thermal goggles too?)

This could go either way. If snake could get a clear shot on him then it's over. But the Predator has the tech, his cloaking, stealth, and plasma cannon gives him the edge.

Snake, pretty easily. He has the experience and more than enough equipment to get the job done. He's beaten way tougher enemies with even less equipment before.

I belive Snake with the right gear takes the majority.

On top of that, the Predator is much stronger, faster and more skilled than Snake is and are better with stealth. Snake has a nice arsenal here but it means nothing since the Predator would sneak up on him and decapitate him;

I think that still would be distracting enough against the Predator given how firm Snake's ass is. Predator will be like "Oh damn, look man no homo but you got one tight ass yo" and Snake would be like "Damn straight I got a tight ass" and then Predator will be like "For real man, how'd you get in that kind of shape" and Snake will shout to the sky rather dramatically "Nanomachines!!!" then shoots the Predator.

You all seem to forget that Snake has taken out The Fear who also have cloaking.

1) Naked Snake AKA Big Boss took out the Fear. Solid Snake never did, though he did best the Cyborg Ninja, who utilized cloaking.

2) Snake has IR Goggles in the OP, so cloaking won't be a factor at all.

P.S: Thermal vision can't detect the predator because it has a counter measure for that (other predators using thermal vision can't detect cloaked predators)

@IZZR: Arnie needed more than 5 mins prep is what I was getting at. With the gear I don't know what Snake is gonna do since he has no goggles to see Pred. Snake has nothing to trap Pred with, just some stuff to hide and nothing to mask his heat with. Can imagine snake could take it but... how? Pred has some good gear to sneak up and one shot snake so some knowledgeable user needs to fill in the blanks here.

Octocamo masks Snake's body heat. The Predator will see him just as well as Snake will see him.

On one hand a Predator outgears and outstats Snake in crazy fashion but yet has been beaten by opponents far less capable than Snake.

While on the other hand Snake has gone up against odds that should have killed a normal on a regular occasion. He's got a bat-factor thing going on there.

I really think this battle is 50/50, a case can be made for either fighter.

You dont understand, the predator approached this marine while he was already injured and got killed by him.

But I guess all the other Predators that have killed swat, marines, and spec ops doesn't count? It's normal gear can take out whole teams of solders. You seem to underestimate the Predators.

For some reason I find that to be complete BS, unless said Predator was a fresh hunter. Because a Predator has taken out a commando unit(save for Arnie) and green berets, and probably have hunted things more dangerous then humans, and here one marine(injured) took out a Predator? Was this Predator stupid or something?

I love how people bring up predator feats and leave out Snakes. He's regularly come out on top against people/things that could give a P a run for their money while P typically fights physically and technologically inferior foes... Which somehow improves his skill and experience, or so I'm told.

I'll re open this thread in spite and say a man who defeated gray fox using cqc,defeated metal gear through out his career and has the DNA of someone who defeated Volgin would beat a predator defeat a predator like a second level boss.Predators have been defeated by xenomorphs,a guy with a sword and fucking danny glover.Predators so called advanced cloaking technology can be compromised when in water and has it's a time limit,not to mention they're arrogance.Do any of you actually think that a predator would just shoot Solid Snake with a plasma canon and be done with him,because I think that a predator would underestimate solid snake and mess with him,allowing solid snake to win.

It's not arrogance, it's honor. If the Predator sees Snake as a worthy opponent he will not use his plasma caster, but he will go for plasma caster first. The caster, though this takes some charging, can literally vaporizes Snake. I have no idea where you got the idea that water makes a cloaking device mess up or that it has a timer. (lolwut) The movies tend to have a lot of PIS.

Predators are the jobbers of the universe. There is no way the man who makes the impossible possible is losing to some nameless fodder.
