I'm not sure. Snake has taken several enemies with superhuman abilities that may have proved to much for Fury. I believe Snake himself possesses physical abilities that could arguably be considered superhuman.
I don't know if you realize this, but Snake defeated Vamp and Laughing Octopus with firearms (and a syringe that suppresses nanobots for Vamp). It's not like he fought them H2H, or physically. Seriously, if you place Nick Fury in the game with the same weapons and accessories Snake had, he could probably defeat them by shooting at them, too... Most of the bosses Snake fights aren't physical fights.

Snake defeating superhuman opponents with firearms is no different from Nick doing the same if he had the same weapons. You act like Snake fought them physically or something.

He's still genetically enhanced. It's not just Big Boss's genes. That's been established throughout Metal Gear. If he's dodging sniper-fire and missiles, tossing a fully grown man with cybernetic implants (Cyborg Ninja, which would make him heavier than most men) across the room like paperweight, moving through a hallway of microwave energy and living, and breaking the chain of pair of handcuffs would suggest that Snake is more than just a man. Normal men can't do any of this.
Even if he's been taken out by a gun butt to the head, what does that prove? That's blunt head trauma, is it not? It doesn't make Snake any less of a man if that's what you're thinking. If it were Captain America or Black Panther (without his mask) while they weren't looking, they'd be out for the count.

snake is enhanced beyond that of a normal human, he was infected with the nanomachine robots that fused with him, add in that when he was genetically made they altered his DNZ giving him faster reflexives but at the cost of his age (and to make sure he if he ever well into the wrong hands he would not last long) add in that with his traning he is stronger then the avrage soldier that is why he is able to take down the commen one in CQC (like with him vs that one dude in MGS4 who pointed his gun at him.) the suit he has on also enchances with strenght by always realaxing his muscles so they never tense up. lol did i sum it all up.

He only broke those handcuffs because they already got damaged by gunfire Dont be so sure about Grey Fox's weight, he may have been outfitted with an exoskeleton but alot of his flesh and body parts were probably removed, similar to Raiden in MGS4, If Grey Fox was heavier it probably wasnt by a whole lot
You think that someone can take out Cap or BP by hitting them in the back of the head with a rifle butt? Somehow I find that hard to believe considering what they've already gone through

like you said not all at wants, he is covert ops he can pick people off one by one.
I don't remember those handcuffs being damaged prior to breaking them. I'm very confident in Grey Fox's weight, even though I don't know how much he weighs.
As for Cap and BP being taken out by a rifle butt to the back of the unexpectedly, it can happen. It's blunt force trauma. People do more damage with melee weapons than their fists, increasing the psi (pounds per sq.in) in the attack itself. A normal man with a crowbar could attack yo with 1500 psi and kill you, easily. If it's not expected, it's more likely to KO whoever it hits. BP was KO'ed before in combat, even though he's peak-human. It's not a stretch, and it doesn't matter what they've gone though. They aren't superhumanly durable to withstand a significant amount of blunt force.
Fury has never taken out a tank with grenades or a giant robot capable of mass destruction. I'll run with that since everyone is saying that Fury has done better.
