Slade Wilson (Arrow) vs. Frank Castle (2004 Punisher)

Rules:

Slade and Frank both get an AR-15 with 100 rounds, a Pistol with a Silencer, M3 combat knife.

Both have basic knowledge of what they're up against.

Both wearing body armor.

Both at 100% mental and physical condition.

Fight takes place in Howard Saint's HQ, where Castle has his final battle with Saint and his goons at the end of the film.

Who wins?

Castle ftw, gotta see Slade in action more. Right now I'd say Punisher has better combat and durability feats than Slade.

agreed. Though I'm inclined to give Slade the win on badassory alone >_>...

Honestly I think Slade has shown better combat feats with the exception of those completed with prep.

@shazam117: I'm crossing my fingers for an eventual Deathstroke spinoff (although the scene in the premiere of season 1 with his Mask on a stick doesn't bode well >_>)

I haven't seen much of that movie... How was Punisher hand to hand in the movie? Because that is the deciding factor and Slade is a boss.

@aquaman01: I say Slade probably has him beat there. But, Castle durability is almost cartoonish. IIRC he survived a horrific car wreck, was shot, blown-up, stabbed and beat to within an inch of his life by the Russian whom ripped a toilet out of the floor and smashed him threw a wall .......and Frank still kept going. I just don't think from what we've seen of Slade he has what it takes to put Frank down

@fallschirmjager: I know, me too. I think that mask we saw in that 1st ep was the "fake" Deathstroke that ended up getting whacked and not Slades mask....least that's my wishful thinking :-7

Hmmm, gonna go with Frank. If they later show in Arrow Slade take a lot of damage, then he would win. But currently, while Slade would be winning, once he makes one mistake....Castle would crush his skull!!! Well, maybe not that but he could kill him.

However, this would all change if Deathstroke is given his healing abilities. I mean, if they can give the Flash powers...

Slade should win. The guy has taken out trained squads before they could even do something. All on his lonesome. Whether it be wiping them all out with his pistols after he plays prisoner, or him taking them all out with his sword, the guy has speed and skill that Punisher simply hasn't displayed. Throughout the series you can also tell how tactically adept Slade is. The guy is no dumby.

You're all saying what I was thinking as I was setting this battle up.

Slade's a great hand to hand combatant and marksman, but Frank's durability was just absolutely ridiculous in that movie. He had just about everything done to him and wouldn't go down.

I think Frank takes this, but it won't be easy for him. And @fallschirmjager:, a Deathstroke series would be amazing! The guy who plays him does a really great job. I actually got to meet him earlier this year at a Con in my hometown. Solid guy, doesn't know a lot about comics or Slade Wilson, but really nice to fans.

Going with Slade. Their accuracy should be around the same. Slade is the superior hand to hand fighter. It doesn't matter how durable Castle is. Slade won't toy with him like the Russian did. Sooner or later Wilson's strikes will wear Frank down enough for Slade to kill him.

Frank's uncanny endurance should pay off here. Slade won't be easy, but he will go down eventually.
