He creates a planetwide Force Storm and annhiliates the X-Men

Either that or he fries the entire X-Team with Force Lightning, leaving Wolverine alone against 5 lightsaber wielding superhumans

Dark Side bangs X-gene.

Palpatine has no need to perform anything as dramatic as a Force Storm or Drain. His Speed alone is enough that he could slash them a hundred times before they realize the fight started. Iceman might require a means of attack beyond simply physical damage, but he would be the only one.

Iceman is weak willed enough a jedi mind trick would probably prove quite effecitve.

As said before, Palpatine will dispatch them all effortlessly. Iceman may prove a challenge but I think they could do it. If Bobby had no morals... he might defeat the rest via blood freeze if he is quick enough. But he has morals, so he dies.

He has no way to beat Palpatine. At the very worst possible scenario for the Sith, Palpatine only needs to possess Iceman's body.

True, I'm saying he could beat the rest of them though if he had no morals. Palpatine would still win
