The soulfire formula gave him access to the power of the souls of dead new gods, making him equal or superior to the Source. He was able to beat the source.

This is a tough one...

I'd like to say,

1 - Sinestro.
2 - Darkseid, since he might be able to find a way to de-bond the entity from Sinestro.

I think you might be right still even the 1st round is too close its a toss up and Sinestro is so underrated, but 2nd round is just i dont know i can only see it being a stalemate

Yeah I agree with you, Sinestro is underrated. He could put up a good fight with DS, especially as White Lanter!

I'm going with Sinestro in round one.
Not familiar enough with Soulfire Darkseid to make a call on round 2.
by the way is it pronounced "darkseed" or "darkside"?

1.Is 1 not a bit of a mismatch, Darkseid pretty much manhandled every lantern that's ever crossed his path without much effort.

2.The source is horribly undefined but it's still one of the most powerful things in the multiverse.

Round 1 depends on Sinestro being at the top of his game, which he has only shown against GL. If he messes up even once Darkseid takes it. I'd day Darkseid 8/10 for round 1.

Round 2 Darkseid wins. Sinestro was far to aggressive to control the White Lantern power. Darkseid had control he wins.

It's nothing to do with being underrated Sinestro is simply not on Darkseid's level. I don't believe he's ever had a bad showing against any Lantern.
