I disagree. In fact, he has more purpose here than New-52 superman. He has access to World Breaker Hulk, making him more powerful than New-52.

Silver Surfer, Hulk is only a factor if Silver Surfer decides to engage him in a fist fight.

Superman gets possibly one shotted, as all Silver Surfer would do, would be to use his cosmic awareness, to find if Superman has a weakness, and then he will realize he is weak against Red sun radiation, and then a few energy blast will put him down.

While I think Silver Surfer wins, due to his morals it's not the stomp people will make out to be.

...Clark is solar powered but he is so much more than that, he metabolises solar radiation, not merely store it. So how does SS drain the metabolised solar radiation, it's akin to SS draining bread from say Thor after Thor has eaten the bread, absorbed the carbs/fats/proteins no?

Haha, I think I get what you complain about in regards to Hulk now.

Surfer takes Superman and Hulk on his own for a majority. It would be an unfair dogpile if Sentry joined the losing team that would possibly allow the team to win against Surfer and that isn't exactly a fair way of winning.

An all out Surfer? This battle comes down to Surfer vs Void because every time they fight Surfer literally deals with Hulk and Superman in a few minutes tops. Seriously if he is going all out there is nothing Superman or Hulk could do to counteract him. Void on the other hand is a bit tricky so I'm not sure how it would go.

Seriously? The only advantage Surfer has is energy draining and that tactic isn't gauranteed to work on Hulk all the time.

Superman isn't as good at renewing his energy as Hulk but since he has help he stands a better chance.

Sorry for a delayed response, been extremely busy with work and my thesis.

Well its a very lesser known character, who only appeared on 1 issue called Sympira.

What she did was created a genetic cacoon, sat inside it and when to live in the sun. The cocoon would allow her to absorb the powers of the sun, synthesis inside it, turning her into their version of sun god or in her world "power almighty". She could now fly (an ability she did not have earlier nor any of her people did), she could shoot energy and was super strong and durable.

Silver Surfer originally rescued her from the sun (as you can see in first few scans), but when she turned out to be pure evil, Silver Surfer simply takes her power away.

"Powers such as you now possess is a rare gift! However if you fail to cherish it, and use it properly it can always be stripped away"

Although if you notice Silver Surfer doesnt simply sit there and drain her like people expect he would do to Superman (which may or may not be possible, lets not get into that territory), but rather use his powers (presumably molecule manipulation) to simply strip her powers away (without directly affecting the star from which she was drawing her powers from).

I personally see some parallels here between her and Superman, but you are welcome to disagree.

Is it true that Sentry and X-Man (in his prime) were able to stalemate Galactus? If this is true I think, with the help of Sentry, the team could take this. Although, I'm not particularly knowledgeable on the full extent of Surfer's powers so don't quote me on it...

@reactor: Really? Because last time I checked, the OP said he has access to World Breaker.

He may not be a factor in speed, BUT he is stronger than both of them. New-52 is weak compared to the other two.

World Breaker is stronger, and just as fast as Thor, and last time I checked, though it is PIS, Thor has kept up with surfer in battles.
