vs
......
Fight to the death, random encounter, no prep, no knowledge. Takes place on Mars.
Who wins?
this might be a little too much for the Surfer to handle in a direct random encounter... SS is easily better than all of them in terms of one on one attributes but if they rush him they could probably take him out together... team work would be problematic... Bizarro is Retarded and Black Adam is not much for Cooperation himself.
Little off topic, but does Surfer still possess the power amp that he received at the end of Annihilation?

I'm behind in my Mighty Thor (and Defenders) reading, but as of the conclusion of the Galactus Seed arc, he was bound to Earth with the potential to grow weaker the more he strayed off the planet (even though I remember wondering if the statement pertained to Earth as a whole, or just Asgard). But his upgrade during Annihilation should still be intact in spite of that limitation, at least whenever/wherever he can actually be fully powered.
That's kinda stupid.
I'm not a fan either.@Morpheus_ said:

I'm all for him having a weakness but attaching him to Earth hinders his story telling.

@entropy_aegis: Since the cosmic line has been diminished, it does provide more frequency to his appearances and greater exposure, though.
Cosmic seems to be in a recession everywhere.People seriously want more realism.
Blame Fraction. Dude needs to not write anything involving Thor, although his Defenders run is...decent.@Morpheus_ said:

@Illuminatus: Fraction's Thor one-shots (Ages of Thunder, Reign of Blood, Man of War) were magnificent. His on-going work significantly less so.
Agreed.

@Morpheus_: I don't really see the point of limiting Surfer's power and especially in that fashion.
So he can stay on earth and join Defender teams.
I'm surprised no one thinks the Surfer has a chance here. I thought he's powerful enough to take these guys on.

I understand that but I find it moot since he's already been shown on past Defender's rosters. And it's not like other characters haven't been in more than place at once. (not pointing fingers at anyone) *cough* Green Lantern, Hulk, Spiderman, Wolverine *cough*

He appears in Mighty Thor? I had no idea about that, mostly because I could give less of a f*ck about Thor. lol.
Haven't read those yet.@Morpheus_ said:

I recommend you do :)
Surfer can win here - can anyone follow the surfer as he travels through many dimensions quickly? SS survives the inital gangup, goes into another dimension, and then reapears strategically, picking team off one by one. Unless its an absolute texbook cooperation with a perfectly thought out plan and flawlessly executed, team is not winning. In that regard, Bizzaro is useless here. He might end up fighting someone on his own team. You need cunning and an effective strategy to defeat the Silver Surfer. Bizzaro is not capable of either. In that case, BA and Sinestro aren't enough to take down the Silver Surfer.
Plus, does anyone here have SS's reaction time?
@ReVamp: Yeah, he and Loki find Mjolnir and try to return it to him, while everyone in the MU is convinced that Thor has never existed before.
@ReVamp: Yeah, Thor never truly "died" after Fear Itself. A troll named Tanarus or however it's spelt takes his place and even Thor forgets who he is for the most part. It's an average arc at best.

In 3 years, is everyone going to pretend like it didn't happen?
ss takes it due to the op saying to the death,if hes fighting to kill someone he will take these out pretty fast,in character he will have problems, but this is to the death so he wont hold back, team dieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
