Silver Surfer vs. Flash

Green Lantern makes a road for Flash, from one end of the universe to the other, and Silver Surfer is next to him, flying on his surfboard. Surfer cannot fly higher then Flash can jump, and both men are allowed to phase through obstacles. Green Lantern is not allowed to hinder Surfer or help Flash with anything but the surface to run on, and Surfer and Flash are not allowed to attack each other. It is a race, from one end of the universe to the other. Who wins?

silver surfer he can go to speed of light, and flash will tire out

Barry Allen could also travel at the speed of light, so he would have given the Surfer a real run for his money. Even so, he would eventually tire out - as Zenma says Wally would - and the Surfer would win.

The Surfer can travel faster than light.

WTF man W T F! i know SS is fast but come on this is the flash in a RACE, his main power is to run. being backed by the speed force don't see him tiering out and that was the only way i saw SS wining.

Well the flash has to eat and drink right? I remember back in the day when he and Supes raced he needed to have refreshments and by the end of it [a race around our globe not THE UNIVERSE as in this thread]he was pooped. Plus the Surfer is just that much faster [i dont know if it is specified he is faster than light only in hyperspace, regardless it doesnt say he cant access it, and im sure he could keep up light speed far longer for the reasons stated above.]

only to stay alive, not for his energy requirements, the Speed Force provides all the energy he needs to run now, unlike older versions where he had a supercharged metabolism because of it and had to eat tons...

It is specified in the comics that the only way SS can go faster than light is in Hyperspace... Gladiator is the same...

Flash doesn't have to enter hyperspace to go faster than light, but even so this race would take millions of years and Flash would die of old age before it was finished, while i believe Silver Surfer doesn't age, so he would win by default.

oh, just incase anyone was trying to work out the final distance, that's not including the space between galaxies...

so multiply the final answer by 10 to 15 as galaxies tend to be spread out quite a bit, then you'll get your final length of time it would take... if the number will even fit on a calculator lol

Well, suppose Flash was kept alive, and fed. There is no way to exit this race, except to cross the finish line. It doesn't matter how long that takes.

I dont like how this question was worded. it should be like a race around the world like how flash did against superman. A race that long would tire anyone out. but if it was a race length something reasonable Flash would win. if it was a race around Earth flash would win. but at that long of a distance that would take FOREVER TO FINISH i dont think nobody would win.

No he just uses it. When he fought durok he didn't use hyperspace and traveled faster then the speed of light. Either way Surfer wins this. At one time when flash went above light speed something use to happen to him.

Around the world surfer would win that way easier then flash. He can turn intangible. Flash can do but at the rate hes running hes gonna be doing alot of dodging. For him to turn intangible would take to much time. Any other race surfer would still win to.

Someone PLEASE explain to me how the Flash could take the Silver Surfer.

No he's not he travels around in space without gravity woohoo! I can toss a rock and it will go fast in a weight free environment.   But put him on earth against the Flash and he will get SPANKED!! I don't think he'll make it 100 feet on his little board before the flash laps him.  Silver Surfer is not a GOD everyone thinks this guy is untouchable and i don't understand why!!  Then the best answer i get is " Um hello Cosmic POWER!!" Woopty friggin doo da.  What even is that "The Power of everything Cosmic!" Well the Flash has the SPEED FORCE which is like the POWER COSMIC only nothing but SPEED!!!! Flash Stomps surfer into the DUST and then Giggles as he goes about his life helping all the citizens of the DC universe.
