Shuma Gorath vs Phoenix Force?

Shuma is well fed, he is just finishing up devouring the 616 marvel universe when he is confronted by Jean Grey, avatar of the Phoenix. Jean wants to set things right but first must kill Shuma Gorath. No bfr, battle to the death, who wins?

lmao. depends on how well they use the team. rom magneto and corner them, and all it takes is just magneto. phoenix has a very low health bar and magneto's attacks will not give her anytime to build her bars at the maximum.

Talking video games huh? Well Magneto beat the Phoenix in a comic with an EMP that shattered her into billions of pieces, they should use that as a finishing move in the game.

on wait.... jean can die. but she'll just rise all over again. the phoenix force itself can't die. well... not the same way we think of death... it will just raise back from the ashes.

Absolutely this, as long as PF is determined to win and Jean is not fighting with PF internally, she is unstoppable. specially with the current incarnation of white phoenix i see no reason why she should not win.

Would that really help against seeming unlimited might of PF, i fail to see them making any difference.

It's not like Shuma can die either. And the Phoenix Force may be a "Force" but it's very vulnerable. It's ben repeatedly buffered or shattered by things lower than Shuma-Gorath in power.

Phoenix force itself has not been shattered, its avatars have. Its is only recently that Jean reached white phoenix and would have full access to the power, that does not by itself makes her stronger or more powerful than the phoenix force. Being the fire of creation, which is what PF has been described to be its power should be limitless. Seeing how Shuma becomes less powerful outside his relm, he most certainly doesnt have unlimited powers.

On a side note: when has it been stated that Shuma Gorath cannot be killed?

@Prince CortSether: yes.. the Shi'ar planned to destroy it.. but even them are not sure if such feat can truly be done.. some thing during the X-Men/Ultraforce crossover.. many have tried to destroy it in fear, but even them knows one thing, how can you kill LIFE itself? the PF may be shattered, killed, reconstitueted, but one thing is sure, as its name suggest, it will resurrect itself again and again, for the PF is also the force of resurrection..

When battles between two forces like this happen, the battle has to be determine on who can contain and banish who 1st. Neither of this characters can "die" so a battle to the death is moot.

LOL nobody except writers can defeat any of phoenix's avatars in a battle to death. She can keep on resurrecting for ever and ever.

Anyways, even if it is not till death still Jean grey solos.

since when is Shuma-Gorath Phoenix Force's level? the PF is second to the creator himself as the Watcher discribed, the Phoenix is responsibe of Everything there is, it is pure Life which can not be distroyed. all it needs to do is give Shuma a meaning, it's fire is too much for shuma as it will distroy the absolute.

Shuma Gorath is pretty powerful, but taking on the Phoenix Force is suicide for it. The Phoenix itself is way beyond his pay-grade.
