Reed can't be allowed since they'd make him goalie and he can cover the entire goal with his stretchy body. Nightcrawler can teleport the ball. Hulk and Skaar aren't much help because of their size, and Tony is useless in anything that involves sports or physical activity.
 
Wonder why no Hitsugaya instead of Soi-Fon. He did do some soccer in the anime/filler.

I know Tony as his armor. Doesn't make him play better. He could never play nice anyway. Now, if Tony was Drunk, then that'd be a challenge. =P
 
And while Luffy can stretch, he can't expand like Reed could. S'why it'd be unfair. Almost thought it'd be without powers. Of course if that happened all the athletes would be on the Anime side.

Luffy and Goku would score on their own net... but Hulk and Thing would eventually get angry at each other and duke it out...
