@hydrabob: Not this time bro Shin Akuma is actually supposed to be the most powerful character when fully powered up so i don't think it will be an easy stomp for thanos cuz he's really REALLY strong

i dont know much about Shin Akuma,but unless he is ,like, a million times more powerfull than his regular self,he cant really win
Is this the version of Akuma that shattered an island/punched a submarine to the surface of the ocean? Or does he have higher feats than that?
Cuz he will need them if he is going to fight someone who goes toe to toe with Silver Surfer (and from what I remember, smacked Surfer up more often than not...) even without the IG...

though those were during his endings,so the cannoncity of these feats is questionable at best
Does thanos have superspeed??? If not Akuma could teleport and maybe use his raging demon to destroy Thanos' soul. Thats the only thing akuma could possibly do to Thanos. does thanos have a soul? lol souless being are not effected by raging demon.
Aside from that Thanos kicks him into another galaxy witgh his big toe

Yes this is that version of Akuma. Ur also right about him needing full power to contend with Thanos @Matezoide: Idk about a million but he is WAY more powerful than regular akuma

Ah I believe akuma would win for he has raging demon which can utterly destroy thanos, lets not forgets also whose faster between the two.But as said previously it could go either way as Thanos has the range advantage and possibly strength.
I don't understand, when did I say it was a different Death? Death was living up to her Nova Corp file on being able to affect a completely different universe.

All of those feats mentioned by whacknasty are canon, even Capcom has stated them because those are the real endings to the canon storyline of SF. Gouki has also split a mountain into 5 pieces as well, and he split the submarine as well as bringing up a ship out from the oceans with his hurricane kick. However, here is the real kicker that most people don't really know. Gouki did all of these feats when he was holding back 50% or less of his full true potential. In not one of those incidents was Gouki ever in Shin-Gouki (meaning utilizing his full Satsui-No-Hadou powers), so when putting into words, Shin-Gouki would be significantly more powerful then Gouki holding back who achieved all of those feats.
Either way, Shin-Gouki full maximum, he loses to Thanos, I mean Thanos has sustained planet destroying attacks, which puts him on a level, far, far, far and beyond that of Gouki. Even Shungokusatsu would be pretty pointless on him, because isn't Thanos no longer able to go join in the death realm or whatever? If so, even if Gouki landed it on Thanos, and destroyed him in that way, Thanos wouldn't be dead technically, so yeah.
Gouki is ranked within the pinnacle of SFer Top-Tier classes, and no SFer character canonically would be able to fight Thanos and win unless by some plotline "fluke" which happens in Thanos case multiple times in the Marvel Universe. The SFer characters are powerful, but not that powerful here.
The more better match ups would be the Dark Stalker characters from the Capcom Universe or the Breath of Fire Ryu versions from the Capcom Universe would be more imposing threats, considering some of them are Omnipotent, and many near that status within DS and BoF (BoF IV Ryu for example is THE TRUE GOD of that Universe much in the same sense accolade status of the True God who created the entire Marvel universe/multie-verse and its beings etc, etc).
However as a person who has interest in reading and finding out the canon storyline of Street Fighter...I'm sorry, but Shin-Gouki loses to Thanos and quite convincingly.

Thanos would win here....Akuma is still a human who can manipulate immense power of dark hadou (still Chi imo) compared to a mad titan who is a universal threat, simple cosmic radiation should do the trick here

Some matchups are infuriating this is not even worth breaking down, fact of the matter is 10% would be enough for thanos to completely oblitirate him. Thanos is a universal threat, shin akuma is barely a threat, maybe in the street fighter universe but marvel universe is way out of his league.
If Akuma is at full power he is not Shin Akuma. He's Oni. Oni would be quite evenly matched against Thanos as far as strength goes. When it comes to speed Thanos doesn't measure up. Akuma wins.
Akuma would win this. Most know very little of him on these forums. For those saying hes just a human...he once was. Here is a intro to Akuma, the last part is what would happen to Thanos.
lol Akuma is powerful in the world of street fighter. I will admit he is one of my favorite characters I love street fighter by the way. But I will not say he can stand a chance with Thanos that's just insane. You people need to stop. Thanos has beat the crap out of surfer and is a universal threat. So for all those saying Akuma is too fast for him ummm please his speed is nowhere near surfer's not even on his best day neither is his strength or durability. Akuma better use his teleport to retreat.
