Sherlock (BBC) vs Hannibal Lecter- Please read

Hannibal Lecter the criminal genius, glorious in all of his insanity,moves to London, He begins his usual antics and it is up to everyone's favourite consulting detective to catch him, Hannibal is at his peak, it is Movie continuity Lecter prior to being caught, so were in the early to mid eighties and Lecter is around 45 years of age, just so have an idea of his physical state during the intellectual battle.

Do you think Sherlock catches Hannibal, or do you think he will get eaten in the process.

Remember that Sherlock has John Watson on his side and the police force.

Also, fist fight,who wins.

Sherlock should catch him though i dont know if he would do so unharmed.He did have the tendancy to go into things rashly

Sherlock should be able to catch Lector.

Fist fight, maybe Sherlock, he had some fights where he did well (against that guy with the turban and cloth veil and saber)

Sherlock is smarter, unless Lector pulls out some obscure astronomy facts of course

Chess? I don't know but Sherlock and Lector both seem the types to be extremely good at chess.
