Takes place in New York City inside a populated Grand Central Station.

Shaw fights the Avengers one by one, finally having to confront everyone at once.

Standard morals. Shaw spent four hours reading the Avenger's files on the way to NYC. Avengers don't know anything about him.

Win by KO, kill, restraint, etc. No BFR.

Weakest to strongest - or strongest in my opinion.

@jeanroygrant: It's meant to get harder . . .

Why didn't Shaw absorb the coin like he did the bullets at the end of the film?

#6 Posted by cattlebattle (12579 posts) - - Show Bio

There is no evidence of anything being able to stop Shaw, he would win I suppose

The rules say nothing about BFR, I think Thor,Iron-Man, or maybe the Hulk could do it.

Obviously i know that.... but isn't Movie Hulk>Movie Thor.

@jeanroygrant: Only on a physical bases. Using his full power Thor should be better all around.

That's debatable.

Hey, kinda a newb question, what is BFR?

Wasn't Xavier mind-raping him?

@VictorGrey: Battlefield removal. Essentially making your opponent go bye bye to the point that the battle is over the the one who won is pretty clear.

Debatable. And as I said: strongest in my opinion, and in my opinion Thor > Hulk. But that doesn't matter much for the purposes of this thread.

Difficult to say. Stark might be able to come up with something on the fly to counteract Shaw's power, and I guess Hulk or Thor could overload him, but he very possibly clears. I guess Thor could lay Mjolnir on him like he did Loki, worst case.

#15 Posted by hyiena (1790 posts) - - Show Bio

@AweSam:

Yeah but doesn't his power just work automatically? Or is it something he has to focus on for it to work?

#16 Posted by AweSam (7360 posts) - - Show Bio

@hyiena: I'm pretty sure Xavier can stop people from using their powers.

@BringnIt: Shaw can't handle a lot of Hulk and Thor's power. Hulk could also through a heavy object at him.

@JediXMan: Any restrictions on BFR you failed to mention? Just want to get a clear idea of the fight.

I'll edit it: no BFR. But other methods are allowed (kill, KO, restrain, etc)

@AweSam based on what?

#20 Posted by _Psy_ (3388 posts) - - Show Bio
Well then, I'd say he still stops at Thor if all arguments are considered. I don't see a real way around having that hammer on top of you.

He stops at Iron Man, in my opinion.

#22 Posted by HolySerpent (12428 posts) - - Show Bio

Clears it with out bfr

#23 Posted by Moonchilde (1601 posts) - - Show Bio

Stops at Hulk, which would actually be a pretty titanic battle. The fact that Magneto was able to kill him with a coin though (even if he was being incapacitated by Xavier) shows that he can be killed, and that he doesn't have a healing factor for attacks that get through his durability. Hulk we know would've regenerated (if the coin would've gone through him at all).

The fight would be insane, as both characters have incredible strength and durability, and whatever city they fight in might end up destroyed, but Hulk in the end seems to outclass him in both areas.

Then why is the Black Widow below the Hawkeye when she beat him ?

#25 Posted by kagetaicho (1983 posts) - - Show Bio

I suppose that's debatable too. In the comics Hawkeye is more effective with their standard equipment. In the movie, meh. Just like Ironman was giving Thor a beating, that does NOT mean he is more powerful.

#26 Posted by JediXMan (29242 posts) - - Show Bio

@sa5m:

Only reason she beat him is because he snapped out of it mid-fight, and she took one last shot to knock him out. If he didn't pause like that, the fight would have continued. Plus, he is a better shot than she is.

Stops at Iron Man.

Shaw can only absorb a limited amount of energy before he overloads, though if he gets past Tony he can't beat Hulk.

#32 Posted by Jorgevy (5114 posts) - - Show Bio

I dont know the exact name of Shaw's ability, but it's basicly kinetic absorbtion. With that being said, some type of non kinetic damage should do it...... or something with very low kinetic strenght but incapacitating in nature. (Im thinking maybe a storm created by Thor)
