The fight takes place in the Savage Land.

Seph has his sword.

DOS Doomsday. Normal Sephiroth.

No Morals.

Winner by Death.

Doomsday cannot return from the dead.

No prep.

Who wins?

The only advantage I see for Sephiroth is possibly magic, otherwise, even with Sephiroth's physical prowess, most notably shown in FFVII: Advent Children, Doomsday would stomp.

@progenitor: Yeah, magic seems to be only thing that can really beat Doomsday at his own game of death.

He says this for every thread but replaces "doomsday" with one of the participants. Pretty cool I think.

Anyway I would say DD would probably destroy Seph, even with magic I think DD still has the edge

This isn't debatable. Sephiroth isn't even close to the level of Doomsday.

@Trinity00....I would agree if this was Safer Sephiroth, his final form...He could summon "Supernova"...That version of Sephiroth would annihilate Doomsday...But normal ol'Sephiroth would get mauled to death by DD.

I'm the biggest Sephiroth fanboy ever and honestly am of the opinion that he's on the level of DC's Mantis - but only if he's Safer Sephiroth.

And Doomsday is on a higher level than that even.

Even assuming this is DoS Doomsday or Year One Doomsday, a First Class SOLDIER, even the best one, isn't going to cut it.

The only video game character I can see beating doomsday is kirby, and only if Kirby eats him at the get go or copies someone more powerful than doomsday.

Kratos can't beat Thor (to be fair, pretty much no video game character can beat classic thor playing for keeps, he could crush ADAMANTIUM with his bare hands), Doomsday is out of his league.

Pretty sure Aman'Thul from Warcraft could take Doomsday. He is essentially an omnipotent. The head of a pantheon of gods to a race of a godlike beings. He created the cosmos, time and reality manipulation are nothing to him, he's based off Odin, he's immortal, etc etc.

On topic, I'm not too familiar with Doomsday, is he resistant to magic? Sephiroth can cast magic without materia, so he could just petrify Doomsday with a Break spell. He could also cast Death.
