Sentry vs Hal Jordan

Let's assume Sentry has full control over his powers in this battle. Can he beat one of the greatest GLs?

Sentry has too much power. He's a match for Supes who has beaten Lanterns.

I wouldn't think sentry's anywhere near supermans strength or experience, from what i've read/seen of him! someone as experienced and powerfull as jordan shouldn't have too much probs handling someone like sentry! it's not sentry's power he has to worry bout, it's his nut job mind! "

I think that's Sentry's worry (his unstable mind). Sentry has enough experience and his power is basically the same as Supes (and alot more) from light manipulation to energy fields.

Hal Jordan.

Sentry does not appear to be anywhere near the strength level of Superman.

His durability also appears to be lower.

His energy emission powers appear prteey high level, being able to destroy whole city blocks but you need to compare this to a Hal and the ring, who can contain explosions that can destro entire cities and with the ring he can perform feats of strength that can equal supermans.

So GL for the win.

Sentry has never demonstrated telepathic attack capabilities. Apart from one mention of a telepathic episode (copying his memories) he has never displayed other psychic powers (i.e. he has not developed them yet although he appears to have the potential).

How can failing to stop a falling helicarrier that cannot weigh more than 60,000 tonnes put in Superman strength league when Superman can lift millions of tonnes ?

Gl can use his ring to resist Telepathic attacks in any case but it takes extra concentration i believe.

I think that Sentry is weaker than the both of them. "The power of a million exploding suns" is nothing more than a title that the Sentry has yet to live up to. A hyperbole at best. I haven't seen the Sentry do anything that is close to what Superman has done over the years.

I don't believe that...Hal has that type of power..but more to the point...Superman doesn't have energy manipulation.Hal having all that energy around him in his forcefield and having that ring on basically makes him an energy source for Sentry."

I might go with Sentry if he's is full control of his power.
