Selene because selene has been  
was born around or maybe before apocolyps!!! 
and even emma frost herself is 
fears selene and 
emma could easly handle madelyne pyror  
selene is not only a mutant but a sor. 
at that so she works on both feilds 
selene could suck the life force from madelyne's body 
in seconds

cut back for some reason im not shure but i forgot 
madelyne has tk 
so that might give her a upper hand also

You could argue that she is more skilled, but with the Goblin Force Madelyne is exponentially more powerful. Selene wouldn't stand a chance.

She has manii mannii manni years of training and skillit is said that  
selene is over 17,000 years old :D

She is over 17000 years old according to the comicvine database. I would need to see a different source that isn't a wiki to back that up.

It doesn't matter how old Selene is because Madelyne is more powerful than she has ever been.

In the Necrosha one-shot that just came lout last week it shows that she was born over 17,000 years ago.

Well..Rachel Grey is like Big G in X-Men because her power is very irritable. So she is not a good example to show the Phoenix avatar's power.

@cracks: yea im not sayin power has nothing to do with wins just experience is also a big variable rather than it being put down like it means nothing, earlier in the post people said Madelyn would win just b/c she is stronger and that is not true, im just saying there is more variables in fighting besides power

If it is Madelyne with a body then it is just a matter of who gets a successful attack off first. If it is current Maddie with no body, then Maddie wins regardless.

If she did not die the last few times, she wont this time. Plus I was just using the latest incarnation as a possibility as well as her classic version just for you.

I am pretty sure she can. She still had her magic, TP and TK at her disposal in the Sisterhood story arc.

This fight looks incredibly even, with Selene even having taught Madelyne psychic vampire abilities. Selene can also counter the goblin force as she can also summon demons etc just like Madelyne.
 
If this is Madelye with her original power set then she wins with her reality warping ability. If this is the current Madelye power set I think Selene wins with her shadow morphing, super speed and superior Superhuman physical traits and then her Life-Force Absorption power.

No. She had no body at that time because there was no body that could cope with her powers. That is why the entire plot was about her getting Jean's body.

@erik:  The 'spoiler' didn't work. But yes, I knew she wanted to get Jeans body, but she must have had a body when facing against the X-Men and recruiting the Sisterhood etc ...   & didn't Maddie's ghost appear on the Astral Plane ... having none of her powers?

I think that she exists on the astral plane now.  All I know is that Cable conversed with her on the astral plane in The Twelve.

Madelyne may have been lying about her powers in The Twelve. She is seen in Sisterhood clearly using TK and magic and right before sisterhood using TP. In Sisterhood, Deathstrike took a swipe at her, striking at nothing and she stated that she has no body. That was Uncanny X-Men 509.
