@leo-343: If Chidori broke Gaaras ultimate defense, Hirukos spine tail should be able to break it, 3rd Kazekages iron sand should be able to break it also.
the only way sasori could win would be with the iron sand or the 100 (1000?) puppets that he had. gaara in solo battle is extremely dangerous and keep in mind, he only lost to deidara because deidara made him pick whether to defend himself or the village. sasori doesn't really have any leverage in the room to make gaara drop his defense. Id say with that in mind, gaara would win 7/10

Exactly. Deidara was uniquely suited to defeat Gaara and still had to use dirty tricks to do so (I would have to, a wins a win). Deidara said Sasori was stronger but that doesn't automatically mean he could do what he did. Some people are just bad match ups like Guy vs Kisame. Plus they never showed how Sasori defeated the iron sand wielding Kaze kage but they did imply he defeated him so I assume a battle took place. And if he could beat him then logically he should be able to win against gaara but based off what we've seen i'd take Gaara 7/10 against Sasori

Chidori is specifically designed for piercing and it's a lightning style attack which naturally beats Earth. That was also Chunin Exam Gaara who's inferior to Sasuke Retrieval arc Gaara who's <<<<<<<<< this version of Gaara.
Sasori is like a garaa + all dose puppets, poison, hiruko, flame throwers, hiruko and a mecanical mind. But its no way a stomp, this is going to take sasori veeeeeeeeeeery high dif.
Obviously Iron Sand wouldn't work here. Sasori assassinated the 3rd Kazekage easily. Gaara on the other hand is way above that level from what we've seen from Sasori. Gaara wins 10/10 in any circumstance.
Gaara wins because he's able to transform into a tailed beast as seen in part 1 so what chance does sasori have against shukaku when he cannot even beat genin naruto
Gaara should win mid-high diff, this is a bad matchup for Sasori.
Gaara's huge AOE attacks should render most of Sasori's arsenal useless (the 300 puppets get no diffed under a sand tsunami) and sand armour makes nearly any sneaky poison attacks useless. Sasori's kazekage puppet should be able to break Gaara's defences but I don't think it'll be enough for the win.
If you can avoid Sasori's poison and have high AOE, that is a big setback for the puppet master.
Sasori should win this deidara admitted that sasori is stronger than himself and sasori has the 3rd kazekage as a puppet he'll demolish gaara and hiruko can break gaaras defense
Sasori... Gaara vs Deidara was just a less bloody method of them getting to Gaara. Sasori was completely capable of taking him via the poison gas, iron sand, and water jets.
Sasori honestly kind of handles this Gaara like fodder. A way stronger Gaara gets stalemated by his father who is weaker than the Third Kakzekage who then Sasori scales above.
What is up with all these mismatches? It’s simple as this. 3rd Kazekage was stated to be and shown to be the strongest kazekage due to his iron sand jutsu. It was supposedly faster than Gaara’s sand and obviously denser. Not to mention that after Sasori got a hold of it, he coated it with an incurable poison. Like, Gaara gets hit he losses, and you also have to consider that Sasori killed the 3rd Kazekage w/o the 3rd Kazekage puppet (his strongest weapon). Sure, Gaara can go to the air, but so can 3rd Kazekage puppet’s attacks. Mismatch honestly.
