Couldn't she just lasso him?

#3 Posted by TERMINATORXX (3899 posts) - - Show Bio

Since theirs no water in a lumpber yard, what exactly do you expect wonder woman to do to the sandman?

#4 Posted by Sufferthorn (1734 posts) - - Show Bio

The Lasso of Truth seems like a scary weapon for someone like Sandman.

Sandman.

what would  lasso do  to a sandman?

#7 Posted by XiiX (7434 posts) - - Show Bio

Wonder Woman.

How would the lasso beat Sandman........................?

He takes this.

#9 Posted by MisterWhisper (1812 posts) - - Show Bio

Lasso would not do any good, he would just fall to pieces. However she could easily outsmart him, he is not that bright, her speed is her best asset here.

#10 Posted by XiiX (7434 posts) - - Show Bio

@ChaoticSuperman: (I'm not certain, but I've heard) She can emit ligtening from her bracelets "powerful enough to devastate gods".......

#11 Posted by JediXMan (29589 posts) - - Show Bio

Not possible, but can't the lasso still restrain him? Due to its mystic nature, doesn't it trap him regardless of his abilities? I'm asking, I don't know.

How would Sandman put her down?

Martian Manhunter shape-shifted out of the lasso's grip, so Sandman shouldn't be any different.

Is this pre new 52? cause that Diana was made of clay and Clayface was getting her down because of that....

if it's N52 diana, she isn't made of clay so she is not vulnerable to that

Ah. Okay, then.

@venomoushatred1001: Does she even need air to breathe? If so, how is Sandman going to keep her down or incapacitate her? I don't feel like Sandman is strong enough. I'm not very knowledgeable on the character though.

He could easily pour himself down her throat and expand.

Yes.

Sometimes she does, sometimes she doesn't. Most of the time, she doesn't. There are a few stories like Circle of Fire and (IIIRC) Our Worlds At War where she needs air.

Either Wonder Woman wins or it's a stalemate. It's a stalemate because sandman can't tag her or do anything to her when you have superspeed and flight.

Sandman is weak to heat because he can turn into glass.Wonder Woman can just rub her hands really fast and create enough heat in order to turn the sandman into glass.

Is Sandman going to just sit there and do nothing while he is turned to glass?

Wonder Woman has super-speed. So yes he is just gonna sit there since she has super-speed.

I honestly don't see how he beats her, and presuming she is allowed to leave the battlefield she should be able to come up with something to exploit one of his weaknesses. She is simply too fast, in my opinion.

Superman does need to breathe. He just holds his breath for ridiculous amounts of time. Come to think of it, that might be the case with Wonder Woman too.

Do we have any Sandman feats showing that he can entrap someone as strong as Diana, without them just forcing there way out?

I was talking about the scan that moywar posted. The lasso's power to affect the soul was primarily used by Genocide, Diana rarely (if ever) used it.

@CitizenBane: Fair enough I was just throwing that out there. I see Diana winning due to Sandman's lower intellect.

Sandman poors some of his sand down Wonder Womans body and eats her alive from the inside out... Wonder Woman cant do a whole lot to Sandman.

Sandman easily wins 10/10

She can't like I said... Sandman Poors some sand down Wonder Womans mouth and eats her kidneys, liver, heart and organs. Wonder Woman cant harm him whatso ever.

he is sandman gonna tag her if she has super-speed.

@moywar700: She has speed and can fly, but if i was wonder woman i'd fly and stay the hell away from him is what i would do because without luck, she has no possible way to destroy him.

Wonder Woman is strong but I don't know how she is going to defeat him.

#42 Posted by TERMINATORXX (3899 posts) - - Show Bio

exactly her strength will be worthless fighting him.. fighting sandman is just like fighting a T-1000.

Using the lasso to find out his weakness and then luring him towards water...

The rope is mystical. This is why people gave it a second thought. Somebody already posted a scan of Martian manhunter escaping the rope by oozing right out of it.

Then Sandman would have 0 problem doing the same thing.... and it would be easier for Sandman because he's composed of setillion bits of sand so he can easily fall apart and put himself together.

couldnt she just slice in half that grain of sand that holds his mind? she has the sword. i believe it can cut superman (cant remember where i saw it). i think after a few reformations she would figure it out.
