Samus Aran VS Karate Kid

The Rules

Both combatants are in character. Battle is fought to death or KO. They start in New York City 100 feet from each other in Times Square.

Samus has her gear from the end of Metroid Prime: Hunters, sans the Omega Cannon.

Karate Kid is unarmed.

This is pre-N52 Karate Kid.

Each opponent has basic knowledge of each other's capabilities.

The entire city can be used as a combat zone, but no BFR.

Does Karate Kid have his Legion Flight Ring?

I was under the assumption that by "unarmed" you mean he is not equipped with or carrying weapons, in my opinion, I would not consider the Legion Flight Ring a weapon. Also, is this Pre-Crisis Karate Kid?

This is Pre N52 Karate Kid.

As far as I am aware Legion new 52 is canon with pre-52, they where aware of the changes happening in the past but where not affected themselves.

I could be wrong never read it.

If that's the case, then let's just exclude feats from the New 52.

I'm inclined to say Karate Kid would win.
