Would same EMP grenades effect Batmans Gadets? Or Nightwings sticks?

I don't see why not. It wouldn't matter for the EMP only lasts a good 7 secs.

@GrandSymbiote94: The emus can easily turn off Batmans Detective Sight thing in the dark. If he times it right he can sneak up on Bats and blow a couple in him, or try.

I need some time to think on this..

Love Sam but these guys aren't very good in direct combat nad not as good with stealth, any of the AC Cast could solo.

I doubt it. Splinter cell agents have sonar and heavy firepower. AC cast aren't hiding in the third echolon building, they're patrolling. Not to mention Sam's EMPs which could fry some of their gadgets. They can see the AC cast through walls so they know where they are at. Granted AC team can do the same, the emps can disrupt their detective vision. The only one who won't be affected is Catwoman which I think the cells can handle.

Batman fully upgraded in AC is no easy kill, with all the armor upgrades he can tank bullets for days from the thugs assault rifles and even take a hit or two in the head from the high caliber sniper rifles in Arkham city. With that kind of durability plus freeze grenades, smoke grenades, sonic shock Batarangs, his gun de-activator thing and more I see it being very difficult for even highly trained military professionals to take him down.

The AC Cast have EMP's also. The only diffference is the AC Cast aren't helpless unarmed. Most of their offense comes from hand to hand combat where they would decimate the SC cast. Hence any of the AC Cast could solo

What EMPs do they have? Batman has the disruptor which has only 2 charges on it. I don't recall Nightwing or Robin having emps and like I said before Catwomans gadgets aren't electrical. How would they perform hand to hand when they don't see them coming to them. Splinter cells have to sneak in and take them down and I doubt they're going to have detective vision on the whole time.

EDIT - I forgot that Nightwing had a disruptor also.

True, but Sam has EMPs which him to disrupt the gadgets for several seconds. Which allow Sam and his cells to fire on him. I see your point about the armor, but in the game you would still have trouble with armed thugs. That's why you would have to dispatch them one by one instead of confronting them head on. If Batman armor could take that much damage there would be no need to sneak around.

By any chance do you know the effective range of the EMP devices Sam Fisher uses?

When I played the game it worked on the whole room they were in, also a couple of rooms next to the room you were in. Also was your post in regards to round 1 or round 2?

#12 Posted by TotalBalance (343 posts) - 5 months, 3 days ago - Show Bio

@GrandSymbiote94: My post was in regards to round 1 as I believe that round 2 is a fairly easy win for the Bat. If Batman uses his DV he should be able to see the EMP device and plan around it accordingly in my opinion. Also is Batman's gear ever knocked out by an EMP in Arkham City? I don't remember any occasions of it being knocked out. I am not sure if it is ever stated in game but isn't Batman's gear considered EMP proof in the comics? Considering allot of modern military tech is I would think he would have most of his important gear protected from such things.

There was never an EMP to actually try to knock out his gear in the game. I don't know about the comics but even if his gear was EMP proof the comic version has nothing to do with the game version. The EMPs in the game were able to knock out security in the white house, so I doubt his armor is protected. Also like I said in a post above the AC characters wouldn't leave their detective and thief vision on for the whole time they were in there. Even if they did l can see the Cells using their sonar vision too do the same.

I'm about too take a shower, I'll respond too any post of yours after I'm done.

This is a great battle, personally I think that the Arkham City team take this. With Batman's sonic batarangs I think it could give them a big disadvantage by disorienting the other teams sonar. If the Arkham City team can get close enough for hand to hand they should win, however if they are kept at range then the Splinter Cell team could win.

Thanks. But after using the sonic batarang wouldn't he need to leave the area for it to recharge after blasting it?

Sam and his boy take it. Round 2 anyways. If there are basically 7 Sam Fishers that know the place better than Batman's team he takes it.

@GrandSymbiote94: O yeah I forgot about that, in that case then I think maybe the Splinter Cell team can win this.

Both rounds? or just the 2nd round?

Yea I think I overdid the numbers. The only reason I put 6 was because Batman and co, have beaten multiple armed men.

He is more skilled and has better weaponry.

I have to go with Batman for both rounds. Too fast, stealthy, and if they do manage to hit him, his suit can easily tank bullets. Batman should have no trouble taking them out. Especially in round 2.

@GrandSymbiote94: I think team Splinter Cell take the first round, however I think round 2 will go to the Arkham City team. A morals off Batman would be a deadly opponent even for the Splinter Cell team.
