Not really sure. I remember in a Silver Age JLA issue Mordru actually had the JLA, JSA, and Legion of Superheroes all at his mercy and Dr. Fate was among them, though I remember he was able to put some sort of spell of suggestion on Mordru so that he wouldn't destroy them and instead used them to get some objects he wanted. I may have to check the issue again to see exactly what happened. Also in more recent years, Hector Hall as Dr. Fate was able to take on Mordru I believe.

this battle is very hard to say, pre-crisis mordru was more powerful than pre-crisis fate, even in post crisis, mordru has gained upper hand in the fight with nabu. but still this is silver age kent nelson we are talking about here

Hard battle but Fate wins. Classic fate is just too OP.
