If it was 1 vs 1 I'd give it to ryu.

Modern age Ninja Gaiden or classic?

Ryu is the same Ryu from the Dead or Alive series and he's lost to fighters canonly in that tournament. Unless DOA fighters are considered really powerful or something

@banemax: Yes and no. Jann Lee knocked out a dinosaur. And Zack fell from a building and for up with nary a broken bone. Bass even lofted and threw a piece of iron five times his size. They may not be shooting energy blasts but DoA characters are hardly normal people.

If you look at what Ryu does in Ninja Gaiden, and what he does in DoA its clear he's nerfed simply by the threat difference. Hell they try to make it so Hayate is his equal when in reality his little sisters are better than him.

@blackwind: Well I know Kasumi and Ayane have made appearances in Gaiden, and are on Ryu's level. The biggest difference seems to be that Ryu doesn't have his magic or gear variety in DoA. Kasumi, Ayane, and Ryu are reportedly the most dangerous fighters in that game but they've never seemed quite on the level of say Street Fighter characters because so much of the DoA/Gaiden characters is game play and game play mechanics are mechanics not feats really. Unless there are DoA comics/anime/novelizations I'm unaware of.

Ryu in Ninja Gaiden does things that are just so far out there from DoA. In NG he is killing Greater Fiends and demons all over the place. In DoA that are trying to stop a super clone. Kind of a big difference. And Ayane calls Ryu master for more than because she respects him. He outranks her in ninja hierarchy.

You'll hafta ask someone else on specific feats because I don't like Ryu(he bores me) I did watch a walkthrough of a few of the games but only to get info on someone else.

You tried putting everything in favor of the team which let's you know he is already better. Hayabusa speed, agility, strength, and technique is still better. Both of these characters would be level 1 bosses in Ninja Gaiden.

What does the team have for after image speed? I says the team will get passed.

Ryu wins. I dun even know what morals on would be for Ryu, he consistently murders people for just getting in his way or being hostile to him. Ninja gaiden 3 is even supposed to be about how he receives a curse for being such a god damn murder machine. He is massively faster, stronger and more durable than both of his opponents with arguable edges in skill and tactics.

Okay sure ryu stomps but taskmaster can steal or copy martial arts and all ryu is really is a ninja with martial arts skills so considering your going against a copycat and a free gunner with ninja skills too i believe ryu has no chance but thats proven off my opinions and some facts.

Ryu's brute strenght, durability and speed is leagues above what DS and Taskmaster can handle

Well ryu isnt the hulk or has SUPER STREGNTH but taskmaster can still copy (doesnt change that) and sure ryu can dodge a bullet or two but when you have 2 enhanced fighters against one enhanced fighter... cmon its obvious

@comicmind: taskmaster wouldnt be able to copy it because ryus abilites are beyond taskmasters ability to replicate.

NG3 ryu was strong enough to block blows from the goddess who could cut buildings in half.

@cerberus369616: Funny enough, somewhere in some game you cannot even progress without killing someone who is crying and begging for help. So yeah, death is the only option.

Ryu but without ninpo it miight be tough.
