These two dastardly debaters will be fighting for their respective nations: Red and Blue! Their victory will equate to one point for their team. Who'll Win? Only time will tell.
2) Durability is limited to that of a Large Building. Not including Energy Shields or Healing. Characters cannot be unbeatable to Street Level means.
3) Movement, Combat, and Travel Speeds is limited to Mach 5. Reaction Speed is limited to Mach 15.
4) Energy Attacks limited to Large Building levels. This includes all forms of Energy, Magic, Psychics, ect attacks.
5) Gear must fit above. This includes Armor, Shields, Weapons, ect.
6) May have 1 summon that fits above.
7) Telepathy like attacks are allowed, but character cannot be so good at TP that Will Power and/or Mental Defense has no way to combat against it.
8) Molecule Manipulation limited to weapons or gear of reasonable level.
9) Time Manipulation and Reality Warping is not allowed. This also applies to other overpowered nonsense like 4th wall breaking, toon-force, immortality, and so on.
10) Teleport Killing, Shrink Killing, Telekinesis Killing, and Intangibility Killing is not allowed. You can attack those ways to harm or maim a character, you just cannot directly use it to kill that way in debates. Were calling this a fair plot device.
11) BFR is off.
12) Stats can't be nerfed.

Location
Combatants are in character. This means their usual set of morals apply.
This is a random encounter (no prep for either side) and both sides have standard gear. Both sides have no immediate knowledge of their opponents, either. This is, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Incapacitation, knockout, or death all count as elimination.
@darkseid1006@veitha This is how It'll work. Each of you get 1 opener, 4 rebuttals (regular posts), and 1 conclusion, which means a total of 6 posts. This'll ensure the match doesn't take too long.
So i'll start with some quick intro's in this order
Master Chief
Deadshot
Gilgamesh
Master Chief (John 117)
Background
So Mater chief is part of the Spartan II project. The Spartan project was intended to breed super-soldiers as a personal army created by Dr Halsey IIRC. The candidates where taken at the age of 6 and trained and trained before undertaking the operation and procedures to produce the advanced humans known as the Spartan's. Contrary to their original purpose when the Covenant arrived and the human/covenant war started the Spartan's where enlisted in military ops to fight off the covenant and it was because of these, mainly Chief alone, that the war was ended and the Flood was stopped. Master Chief had the arguably the biggest part in turning the tides of the war. He was on the Pillar of Autumn when the ship was taken down by Rtas Vadeeme's fleet and landed on the mysterious Halo ring. Eventually after the release of a parasite that could endanger the entire galaxy called the Flood John singlehandedly destroyed the Halo ring. John was later part of the war when the other Halo installations where discovered and finally the discovery of the Arc. The Flood where eventually defeated and a truce was made with the covenant. More recently John has come into contact with the Didact (a ancient Forerunner) who seaked to convert all humans on earth too data and coding as additions to his vast Promethium army. He eventually destroyed the Didact's ship but lost his long time companion the AI Cortana.
Powers/Abilities
Strength-Chief's raw strength is not quiet clear but he can causally flip Warthogs (based of modern vehicles of the type it would way about 7-8 tons being composed of titanium-plated armor. It has been stated before by Halsey that Spartan's lift 3 x their body weight but this was just after their enhancements and it has been proven that they needed time to get used to their abilities and that like everyhting the more they train the more they will improve. It was also without the MJOLNIR armor.
Endurance- Chief has ran 17 km in a few seconds with a torn Achilles tendon and has continued fighting for days non stop.
Skill- John has been drilled since he was 6 in all forms of combat (knife, h2h, weapons, etc.) and clearly shows a vast level of skill. He has killed a Brute (his superior in strength, equal in speed, with arguably as good durability/endurance) through his skill stating that combat is like chess their are moves then counter-moves for them as well as counter moves for the counter moves the only difference being the pieces are arms, body, and legs. John is also a talented marksman (as expected from someone who is now 50 odd and has been training since 6) increased by his enhanced perception and reaction speed.
Durability- Spartan's bones are virtually unbreakable as they are fused with metal and that is why it is only Spartan's that can use MJOLNIR armors. With MJOLNIR armor he has the standard durability of the Titanium-A metal (Titanium enhanced at the molecular level) and the durability of the shields. With shields Chief has survived a high powered 50 mm jet mounted cannon, survived multiple blasts from plasma weapons, and stood in the middle of rapid assault rifle fire with his shields flickering a "hair breadth"
Speed-Spartan's natural speed is estimated at 20 milliseconds (0.02 seconds) and apparently considerably better in combat situations, this was also towards the very beginning of the Spartan testing and as stated earlier Spartan stats improved with usage. With the addition of the MJOLNIR armor Spartan reaction times where increased 5 x. With Chief's AI Cortana his reflexes are further amplified. Now too save me from the calculations mid-way through i'm going to put them here...
"What are their reaction times?"
"Almost impossible to chart. We estimate it at 20 miliseconds," Mende replied. He shook his head, then added, "I believe it is significantly faster in combat situations, when their adrenaline is pumping"
Halo: Fall of Reach pg. 73 i think (if you like a can post the page of the book?)
Now we can assume considerably faster is just about a factor of 2 (+ it was just a estimate) and due to the fact that Spartan's where only just adjusting to their enhancements it is reasonable to assume they are at least 2-3 x faster than 20 milliseconds.
0.02/2= 0.01 or 0.02/3= 0.0066666... (0.007)
so Spartan reactions without suit range from 0.007-0.01 seconds.
Then they are further enhanced by MJOLNIR by a factor of 5...
"the armor's inner structure is composed of a new reactive metal liquid crystal. It is amorphous, yet fractally scales and amplifies force. In simplified terms, the armor doubles the wearer's strength, and enhances the reaction time of a normal human by a factor of 5"
Halo: Fall of Reach pg. 115
so...
0.01/5= 0.002 or 0.007/5= 0.0014
And then with the addition of Cortana...
"You will find your reaction time greatly improved. She will be translating the impulses in your motor cortex directly into motion..."
Fall of Reach pg. 252
Greatly improved is at least a factor of 2-3 again, especially seeing as Cortana is the most advanced computer around and we all know computers now days process everything vastly faster and more efficiently than any human and Cortana is a advanced AI which is something we can't even scratch at yet.
So 0.002/2= 0.001, 0.002/3= 0.0006666... (0.0007) or 0.0014/2= 0.0007, 0.0014/3= 0.00046666... (0.00047)
Conclusion- overall Chief's reflex/reaction speed is 0.0007-0.001 or 0.0007/0.00047
This means that if someone was too fire a bullet he would be able to react to it at a min distance off...
average bullet speed= 1700 mph= 760 m/s
Speed= distance/time so Distance= speed x time
speed= 0.00085 (midpoint of 0.0007 and 0.001) x 760= 0.646 m ( this is the max reaction)
speed= 0.00055 (rough estimate of mid-point) x 760= 0.418 m (this is min reactions. true speed would be roughly mid-way between both) NOTE- the same calculation does not work for average human distance to dodge a bullet but i gave Chief a little leeway (seeing as he is far from a average human). If you would like more specific details i'll tell you?
Weaponry/Equipment
MJOLNIR MK. VI- HUD system with motion, sound, and disturbance sensors. Built in bio-foam release to instantly seal wounds and prevent bleeding out. Increase reaction and strength. Shielding.
Z-750 Special Application Sniper Rifle (Binary rifle)- A Forerunner weapon that fires accelerated antimatter packets to annihilate (literally annihilate- as in the complete obliteration of matter when it comes into contact with antimatter) a opponent.
Sniper Rifle S99 Anti-materiel (UNSC sniper)-Contrary to it's name it is a anti-materiel portable cannon designed to tear apart vehicles (Halo vehicles are generally made out of armored titanium-A).
Model 6 Grindell/Galilean Nonlinear Rifle- A high powered laser that once charged releases a burst of energy at light speed that once hitting a target generally incinerates/kills in a devastating release of heat. The spartan laser is a weapon with the capabilities to instantly destroy most vehicles in halo (par phantoms and pelicans but including wraiths and scorpions).
M6 Personal Defense Weapon System (Magnum)- The iconic halo pistol firing semi-armor piercing 12.7 x 40 mm (.50 cal) bullets.
MA5 Individual Combat Weapon System (Assault rifle)- Used by almost all infantry fires fires .30 cal armor piercing rounds at a incredible fire rate.
4 frag grenades- simple grenades able to kill most shielded enemies
4 plasma grenades- deadly sticky grenades that explode with a devastating super-hot plasma burst
Cortana- Extremely advanced AI- Providing the most advanced tactical and strategic info, boosting directly interfacing with motor cortex, and having advanced hacking capabilities, etc.
Deadshot (Floyd Lawton)
Intro
Floyd Lawton grew up in the shadow of his older brother, where his brother was good at everything and liked by everyone he was not, and he decided that he would be the opposite by getting into as much trouble as possible. When his mom asked him and his bro to kill their father (due to him being abusive) his brother accepted but he did not. His brother locked him in a shed to keep him away while he went to shoot their father but Floyd escaped. Too stop his brother from killing his father trying to save him of the grief and prison he would later face Floyd climbed a tree and aimed a rifle, that he found earlier, at the gun in the brothers hand. In a incredibly unlikely turn of events the branch snapped last second and Floyd accidentally killed his brother. After this Floyd was seriously traumatized and became a trained killer specializing in marksmanship.
Abilities
Incredible marksmanship- Floyd is one of the best marksmen in comics being able to snipe with lethal accuracy from a incredible distance while free-falling and also being able to ricochet bullets with such accuracy he can hit targets directly in the head behind him. There's a lot more but just putting it out there Deadshot is truly a remarkable marksman.
H2H-Has competed with Batman for a short amount of time.
Reflexes- dodged sniper bullets without looking and consistently dodges gunfire.
Equipment
Wrist gauntlets- modified wrist gauntlets which fire bullets at high speed and have very accurate scopes. can fire armor piercing or explosive rounds
2 Modified pistols
Custom sniper rifle
Bullet proof suit- his armor has tanked bullets before
grenades
Gilgamesh (Archer)
Intro
Gilgamesh is a epic hero/spirit/servant called fourth in Fate/zero to participate in the 4th holy grail war, a war between only a handful of magi fighting over what is assumed to be a omnipotent wish granting device, as a servant of the archer class for Tosaka Togone. Mid-way through the war however Gil made a deal with another grail participant who recently lost his servant and betrayed Tosaka. At this point Gil worked in partnership with Kerei Kotomine. The conclusion to the holy grail war however was Kiritsugu Emiya rejecting the grail and the result was the decimation of the entire city where the grail wars took place. Gil later appeared in the 5th grail war, having had Kotomine supply him with the energy to remain in the world in the time between when the other servants had departed or been killed. Eventually he was killed by the servant Saber (King Arthur) who finally managed to fully access Avalonn and become impervious to harm. He died smiling as he materialized to nothingness.
Powers/abilities
Spirit form- as a noble spirit Gil has the generic ability to become a intangible and invisible spirit form Strength- not much too say here Archer does't really do strength
Speed- speed enough to match Saber in combat (hypersonic reactions and supersonic travel)
Endurance- Servant's seem to have unlimited endurance provided they have a master to supply prana.
Gate of Babylon- Gil's noble phantasm. This is devastating... Gil opens a portal to his vault containing all noble phantasms to exist (weapons all with unique abilities native to other servants)... notable ones include... Ea- not actually allowed but Ea is the anti-universe/world noble phantasm that breaks apart reality (nothing else Gil has is on this level) Enkidu- chains that bind anything and grow in power to restrain their prisoner. Excalibur- a blade that can release a burst of energy so powerful it demolishes entire buildings. Spears- 3 notable spears one negating healing, the other magic, and the 3rd penetrating all but the most powerful defense. Invisible sword- speaks for itself.. Various others- Gil uses these and fires them at speeds far beyond bullets to riddle opponents with blades, spears, etc.
Betsy Braddock is Brian Braddock's(Captain Britain) sister, and a pretty powerful mutant. She was born with telepathich abilities, which first manifested after a strong emotional trauma, and became a member of the X-Men under the name of Psylocke after Mojo removed her eyes and replaced them with cibernetic ones. She was then found amnesiac in China after going through the Siege Perilious, and the Hand's leader Matsuo Tsurayaba decided to use her body to bring his lover Kwanon back to life, but instead Spiral switched the women's minds and left Betsy in the body of Kwanon where she became Lady Mandarin. Later on she got her memories back and joined the X-Men, dying at the hands of Vargas. She was resurrected and killed many times later, recently gettin back in the world of the livings thanks to Maddie Prior, the Red Queen of the Sisterhood of Evil Mutants. She now permanently inhabits Kwanon's body, since her original body has been destroyed.
Power and Abilities
She's had very different powersets during her life, from telepathic powers, to telekinetic powers to a mix of both, and also some shadow based powers for some time. Here I'm going to use the current version of her powerset, which include:
Telekinesis: Betsy can move matter with her mind, create shockwaves and TK shields. Of course she isn't going to do anything that breaks the limits of the tourney. She's been said to be able to throw mountains around with her TK, here she will lift only what's allowed in the rules of course(10 tons TK);
Telepathy: Betsy can read minds, create illusions, controll minds, and project thoughts. Here she will only use defensive or passive TP, such as mind-links for my team or telepathic detection to search yours;
Psionic Weapons: she can create weapons made out of psionic energies which can assume both telekinetic and telepathic effects. Unlike other telepaths, being a ninja, she prefers a much more physical approach, so she likes to mix her fighting skills with her powers. She's been known for using a psionic knife able to shut off other people's nervous systems, and a telekinetic katana able to cut almost through anything. Other psionic weapons include darts and arrows.
Fighting skills: she's a ninja, so she's very fast and very good at using weapons and at fighting H2H.
Equipment
She'll bring her two katanas here. Plain and simple.
Mystique
Intro
Raven Darkholme is a mutant, X-Men villain, master manipulator and one of the worst nemesis of Wolverine. She was born more than 100 years ago and hasn't aged a day thanks to her shapeshifting powers. She's Nightcrawler's biological mother and Rogue's adoptive mother. After years in which she's been the leader of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and Freedom Fighters, an X-Woman, member of the Marauders and often a very cruel villain, she's currently leader of the Wolverines and owner of Madripoor.
Power and abilities
At first her powers were mainly based on mimicking other people's voices and appearances, then they evolved a lot.
Shapeshifting: she can shapeshift into anything, from human beings to animals to inorganic stuff. She's so good that she can mimick other people's voices, retina or finger patterns, to the point that she was even able to fool Wolverine's senses by having sex with him without him noticing she was his worse enemy he was screwing with. Recently her powers got upgraded a lot, being now able to change her body in many different ways, such as growing wings, tendrils, claws, mermaid-like tail, stretching etc.
Healing Factor: she almost doesn't age, and she can heal with ease, even if not on Logan's level, but she can also use her shapeshifting to move her organs to prevent killing hits, such as moving her own brain to avoid a bullet to the head;
Stealth: as I said, she can fool Logan's senses, and she can also become invisible by blending with the environment, changing her body texture in order for you not to notice her;
Figthing: she's pretty good at H2H and at using guns. Combine this with her ability to enhance her stats and she's pretty dangerous in combat situations;
Equipment
Guns, toxins(the same she used in Uncanny X-Force to infect Fantomex) and some explosives
Elektra
Intro
Elektra Natchios is a female villain of Greek origins, ex lover of Matt Murdock AKA Daredevil, and former leader of the Hand, too. She was originally killed by Daredevil and later ressurected by Stone. After that she became one of Marvel's main martial artists and best killers, and she was recently a member of the Thunderbolts led by the Red Hulk.
Powers and abilities
Elektra doesn't have real superhuman powers, but she's mainly one heck of a martial artist and a fighter. She's also got some chi-based and TP powers that I won't use here.
She's a master of ninjutsu and many other forms of martial arts, she's pick human in every stat and also has some over-pick human feats in the speed and strenght compartment. She knows pressure points and she's been able to defeat superhumanly enhanced villains and heroes before using her wit and her skills despite being less powerful on paper;
She's a master of stealth and she's extremely deadly with her two sais, her main weapons, but she's also good at using other ninja weapons, but also guns and modern weapons. She's so fast and so agile that she can remain unseen also in daylight and when it's night she can blend with shadows so well that it's very difficult to perceive her;
Equipment
She'll bring her current sais, with electrocuting devices, and also shurikens.
My Advantages here
TP: though it can't be used offensivelly, it is still good for mind-links to keep my team in constant comunication and to perceive your team's moves thanks to mind-reading;
Stealth: I've got two ninjas and a shapeshifter, so it's going to be extremely hard for you to perceive us before we hit you;
Defensive power: Mystique can heal and shift her organs, Betsy can produce TK shields to protect my team or deflect bullets and other kinds of long range attacks such as explosive;
Morals: my team has low levels of morals, so they'll be willing to kill yours without holding back.

1. TP- Got me there my team have no TP powers but unfortunately for you mind-reading is not a advantage that you possess...
7) Telepathy like attacks are allowed, but character cannot be so good at TP that Will Power and/or Mental Defense has no way to combat against it.tourney rules
It is because of this that means that my team will in fact be able to use their strong wills to prevent a mind scan or mind reading. Now i could go on in detail about how and when my team have displayed strong will but it shouldn't be anything you don't already know and its common knowledge that pretty much all comic characters exceed normal humans in most departments which include mind and will.
2. Stealth- Lets start with why stealth for your team is going to flop...
Virtually every member on my team has a method of countering stealth.
Lets start with Chief-
Master Chief has a HUD system with radar, motion, sound, and enemy tags systems which will perfectly counter an assassination/stealth approach.
Here's what it looks like...
So although it is only a distance of 25/35 m it is a clear advantage when facing opponents that rely on stealth.
Now my next point is Cortana. Cortana as a AI is able to process data at a level beyond what we can even comprehend in a few seconds and she is tailored to combat scenarios. It is for this reason that Cortana will instantly realize all the most advantageous moves that a combatant would make to ensure they had the greatest level of stealth and efficiency (this means that if your team decide to choose the best methods of stealth and efficiency, which is only logical after all as if they elect not too their is no need for Cortana due to your team not having a stealth advantage, Cortana and Chief will have already anticipated it and will be a step ahead). While i admit this does not constitute as knowing the exact position of my opponents and every move they will make it does mean that my team know the general plan and possible locations of their opponents as well as how to avoid/counter stealth tactics that your team will be employing.
Also i'd like to point out that Chief is not stranger to stealth. In the form of invisibility or assassins.
As part of the Spartan II program John underwent intense training in all forms of combat and tactical/strategic practices. Part of this included stealth based challenges where they where to capture the flag while unarmed against trained military soldiers armed with high tech exoskeletons and weapons.
Point being Chief has had stealth and assassination training since the age of 7 so he is drilled in its application in battle and knows lots of what there is to know about it... and the fact that John persistently fights and slaughters covenant forces by the thousands; specifically referring to brutes and elites. Both Brutes and elites come in different forms (as in tech) and there's a large number that use active camo units. (camo does produce some distortion at the edges in Halo at close range however but this is really to illustrate how John is capable of dealing with invisible/stealth based opponents)- Active camo also disables radar which is something that can't be achieved by your team.
Gilgamesh- As a servant Gilgamesh has the generic ability to sense another beings presence, even when in their non-materialized servant form which grants them invisibility and intangibility- par unique Assassin classes who can conceal their presence when in stalk/assassin mode rather than combat mode, meaning that unfortunately Gilgamesh can feel the location of your team even when they attempt to hide. As part of the Archer class Gilgamesh also possesses incredibly keen sight. So much so that Archer (EMIYA in the 5th grail war) was able to look at a large metal bridge and state how many pieces make it up after a couple seconds/mins of looking when he was about 3/5 miles away.
Gilgamesh also possesses the spirit form ability i mentioned before rendering him invisible, intangible, and undetectable by most standard forms of scrying magics so i'd say his stealth exceeds yours even.
Deadshot- I remember a couple of instances where Deadshot has used thermal scopes so that is a counter (may not be counted as standard gear) but with Chief and Gil's info as well as his own knowledge on battle he should be golden.
3. Defensive power- Psycloke may be able to produce good shields but so can Chief and trust me when i say what where packing exceeds what you can protect against. (more detail later)
4. Morals- Master Chief will kill any target necessary and does do it constantly as long as it is his mission. Gilgamesh slaughtered a 8-10 year old girl throwing about 40 swords through her and laughed. Deadshot kills his targets, that's it. Our teams morals are all virtually non existent.
My advantages
Here are my teams advantages...
Tactical knowledge- In a battle where the opponents fight with stealth there can be nothing more advantageous than a complete break-down and analysis of the scenario. A effective tactical and strategic analysis will not only allow for a team to ensure they have the best plans and advantages from the get-go but it will allow for a effective prediction of the opponents actions and location. The means for this end? Cortana. Cortana is the most advanced piece of 'equipment' that the UNSC possess. She is a AI (meaning she already makes our current super-computers look ancient) that has been pre-programmed with all the combat programs that the UNSC have and can adapt them on the fly, as well as compute information in near instantaneous speeds. Essentially think of Cortana as a super-computer, made solely for combat scenario's,programmed with every combat procedure known to man the ability to adapt them on the fly and the ability to process information (especially just basic combat procedures like stealth tactics) in nanoseconds to discover the most advantageous moves for both sides and you've got what she brings to the table.
Range/marksmanship- Indisputable. I have 2 snipers; Deadshot and John who both have top-end gear and a incredible amount of skill (Deadshot being the best marksman in DC and John having trained since 6 in all uses of weapons added with his ability to actually perceive in slow motion and his incredible reactions). I also have 4 sniper weapons; UNSC sniper rifle- advanced anti-material sniper surpassing modern tech in every way, binary rifle- futuristic forerunner tech that surpasses the UNSC counter-part and fires antimatter at high velocity via it's particle accelerator, spartan laser- light speed laser that destroys nearly anything it comes into contact with, sniper rifle- just a powerful sniper rifle that Floyd uses.
Offensive power- This is where my team shines.
Let us begin with Chief...
Spartan laser- The most devastating weapon in halo is the spartan laser. It fires multiple close beams simultaneously at a single opponent at light speed. Once hit a opponent is usually annihilated as the resultant energy change produces thermal energy which destroys virtually any vehicle in halo and all shielded infantry types. The amount of thermal energy produced by light speed if even residual energy was converted into thermal energy is enough to completely incinerate any member of your team even if their shielded. Put it this way the Splaser is a anti-vehicle weapon and this is in a universe containing scorpions and mantis' (all of which surpass Chief himself in durability)... - “The M6 is a splendid special application anti-vehicle slash anti-materiel weapon – even if it is a little on the heavy side. The imprudent use of this weapon in the antipersonnel role, which is to say, against non high-value targets – grunts ordrones for example -- is strongly discouraged.”- Bungie
Binary rifle- Basically it's a controlled blast of complete destruction...
Yet another example of the Forerunners' incredible mastery over technology - and more specifically, brutally destructive technology - the Binary Rifle was designed early in Forerunner history, though the current Z-750 model was only introduced late in their civilization in order to contend with the Flood. Using the power of twin, core-mounted particle accelerators, the Binary Rifle has the ability to neutralize most infantry types, even those of considerable mass, by jacketing antimatter particles within a charged beam, which effectively annihilate the target’s composition upon impact. Rifles such as this became critically necessary when dealing with a variety of large Flood “pure forms” that were encountered in parasite-controlled sites.
Halo 4- essential visual guide
Antimatter is well the opposite to matter and when it comes into contact with matter it does whats called annihilation (the complete destruction of positive matter). Essentially nothing you can do will prevent this from completely obliterating your team. Before you bring up it can only destroy the something of equal mass to the amount of antimatter it states that it can wreck even beings of considerable mass and has proven to completely break apart a entire Spartan (MJOLNIR and all) and if lined up will do the same to the others.
UNSC Sniper rifle- Anti-material sniper designed for taking out armored personnel and certain vehicles. Essentially the capability to devastate even shielded enemies and tear apart thick titanium (and other materiel) armor found on vehicles.
Gilgamesh- Now if you thought Chief was scary well Gilgamesh is worse...
Veitha say hello to the Gate of Babylon... In other words your doom!
Lets start with what the Gate really is.
The gate is nothing more than a portal to Gilgamesh' personal vault of weapons, vehicles, wine, etc. but what it contains and hos it is used will assure certain victory.
Now i know Noble Phantasm may not mean anything to you but let me tell you what they are. Basically they are the unique abilities/weapons each servant has and they are always a servants most powerful tool.
Bit more info on how-
Anyway i'll get into use of the weapons then i'll cover specific weapons...
And now here's what they do to event the most durable of opponents...
Just some small info on Berserker...
Ok for now that should suffice.
Why my team will win...
Your stealth approach will be neutralized via Cortana predicting your moves radar/motion/sound sensors, and Gil's aura/presence sense.
At a range of 500 m my team has a clear advantage. 2 prize snipers with lethal accuracy and a array of long range weapons traveling at velocities that you cannot dodge e.g. antimatter charged by twin particles accelerators and light speed lasers. Essentially once the team is located it is going to be hiding for your team while the snipers pick you of quickly and effectively.
Gilgamesh is my trump card. If you evade the snipers then not only are you facing Chief and Deadshot (both formidable close range combatants) but you are facing Archer himself. Archer's unique ability is going to make it virtually impossible for your team to triumph over mine.
Essentially it is a combination of range (something your team lacks and my team relishes in), vastly superior offensive power, nigh-unavoidable attacks, and close/mid lethality. And that's just scratching the surface of my team.
@veitha: the rules state all TP is allowed but it can be overcome by strong will. I never said your TP isn't allowed his that strong will overcomes it.
Why is TP going to work and why am I going to use it?
I'm going to use TP in the form of mind-scanning and mind-reading, meaning that I aim at detecting your team and reading their plans and whereabouts directly from their minds.
As stated in rules, TP can only be used to the point that a character can win it with strong will. So I wonder if your characters have the strong will required to keep Betsy out of their mind(proofs would be much appreciated), and then I wonder-and I'm pretty sure they won't - if they'll be able to even know I'm using TP on them.
Mind-reading and mind-scanning are not telepathic attacks such as mind controll or illusions, but completely defensive and passive attacks, meaning that they do not require thoughts transmissions aimed towards your team. An average telepath for example keeps reading info from other people minds without them noticing everytime, and it is the reason why in fiction telepathy has been considered difficult to controll. Here Psylocke has perfect controll over her powers and she's good enough to prevent your team from noticing she's mind-scanning or reading their thoughts. She won't scream orders or place images into their minds that they can perceive and - if they have a strong will - fight, but she will just do the most passive of things and hear their thoughts.
If I'm not clear, I'm going to make an example. Strong will usually applies to telepathic attacks which are by definition not passive but that actively aim at other people's minds. Steve Rogers was able more than once to resist mind controll or illusions, but in both cases he was subject to techniques that require a direct transmission of thoughts towards the target, and so was able to realize what was going on and use his will to fight back, something which is allowed in this tourney. But now Psylocke will use her powers just to pick thoughts, memories, plans and positions, something that your team has no feat of being able to avoid.
So as soon as the battle starts we'll know who you are, where you are and what you plan to do.
And this is going to be useful to go stealth.
How to go sneaky against an aura-detector and an AI
I've got a few questions about aura detection and Gilgamesh:
How does it work? It is psionical? Auras are usually regarded as psionical manifestations of someone's mind, and so it works as mind reading or any other psionic power such as empathic reading or empatic auras detection. Since it is likely to be psionical, Psylocke can easily use her TP to shield my team from that psionic powers, since strong wills applies also to my team and I've had a telepath so one hell of a strong will. If it doesn't perceive psionic auras that Betsy can shield, how does it work? And what does it perceive?a
Does it work on anyone? You said it works on Servants, has he ever used it against non-Servants enemies? And specifically, has he ever used it against people with TP resistance or training? Mystique's mind cannot be read or perceived by Charles Xavier himself, Earth's most powerful telepath, and Elektra has got telepathic powers of her own and has been trained by the Hand. Add Betsy's TP shields and I'm not that sure that he can use it against my team. I mean, what are his feats against characters with psionic abilities or able to resist telepathic-like scanning?
Now, your AI is going to be pretty useless here considering the setup of this battle.
We have no prep time and no previous knowledge on each other team, what makes you think that it will be able to know the tactics we're going to use. You're not facing standard soldiers here.
Has it ever worked on a telepathic mutant, a shapeshifter and a ninja? It knows nothing about our abilities and powers, meaning that it will do nothing to prevent my team to go stealth. Not having knowledge and not knowing what we can do, it'll be quite useless sincerely. It's not omniscient, so it doesn't know who it's facing in this battle, meaning that it could make a plan against random soldiers or soldiers from his universe, but it won't know nothing about my particular team.
Now, about stealth, Psylocke will get into your minds and suggest Mystique a particular form to assume to fool your team. We don't know where we are nor what we're facing - well, you don't -, so if Raven goes invisible or takes the form of someone that your team knows, it's not likely you will suspect anything, not before she stabs you in the back. Mystique could easily take care of Deathshot, considering he has not great physical abilities. She can resist mind reading and also fooled Wolverine, who has got enhanced senses. I don't have the particular scan, shame on me. Not in English lol, but I can quote what she said in Wolverine V.2 302:
Well, that worked out better than I could've hoped. I wanted to see if my powers were strong enough to fool even Logan's senses, to test them up close and personal...I'd say I've done that. My name is Raven Darkholme, I just made love to the man who killed me. But I promise you, I'm not done screwing him just yet.
So she had sex with one of the men with the best senses in the MU, without him noticing. She says this herself to Nigthcrawler, being able to be at party with him and also with Rachel Grey and Emma Frost(even if Emma's powers were broken at the time), and no one noticed her but her son. So also aura detection could fail.
As for TP resistance:
Elektra is also great at sneaking. She was able to sneak on an enhanced Skrull version of herself, and also on Skrulls with DD and Wolverine's powers, both of them with enhanced senses and the ability to detect other people.
Does he have to activaate his aura detection willingly? If so she can disappear right in front of him like she did to that Skrull being very, very fast.
Raw power
Ok, you have shields and a character that can go intangible. How do your shields and intangibility do against psionic darts or arrows? They disable other people's brains, by damaging their nervous sistems. It's psionic energy, not something you can easily avoid or pass through. They'd go through your shields and straight into your brain.
Psionic weapons should be enough to deal with shields, otherwise I have my TK attacks or katana.
Can your shields take building crushing hits or this kind of force wave?
Then Elektra has already dealt with enemies with armors or superhuman powers, and she's quite good at using all the resources and her disposal and understand weak points. Considering that she can sneak on Master Chief(unless he's shown Wolverine or DD levels of supersenses or radar senses), and considering that she has electricity on her side(sais are good enough to electrocute armors) she could take him out before he can land an hit, especially with the help of the other two girls, especially Betsy who can protect her with shields.
To sum up
Stealth and TP still apply, and quite well I gotta say, so I have knowledge on your team and I can sneak on you;
Both Elektra and Mystique can easily take care of Deathshot;
Psylocke has got the raw power to turn off your shields and abilities to take on intangible enemies, since her attacks are based on psionic energy.
Ok i think we should require @attackonshahbaz- to rule on this. Above is how Veitha sees it and below is how i see it...
Here is the rule...
7) Telepathy like attacks are allowed, but character cannot be so good at TP that Will Power and/or Mental Defense has no way to combat against it.
NOTE- it says TP can't be so good that mental defense or willpower won't stop it. It doesn't say TP attacks it says TP suggesting the intention was to be able to resist mind reading too.
And although you say 'passive' it is actually quiet attack like....
I'm going to use TP in the form of mind-scanning and mind-reading, meaning that I aim at detecting your team and reading their plans and whereabouts directly from their minds.
This is literally saying that you will enter there mind and probe it to get information. That could be counted as a attack and i think what the OP means by non-attacks is mentally linking your teammates not mind-reading. But yeah lets just wait for Shahbaz to rule it.
Combating TP (detection)
So if your mind-reading TP does pass then here is where i'll try and counter it but yeah it is very possible that you will end up reading my teams minds.
So you said characters regularly read peoples minds without them knowing but here's a question- is there any proof that it really does not have any effect on either electrical or chemical signals in the brain, people don't realize its happening doesn't prove its undetectable just a human can't detect it?
Because with Cortana 'inside' John's mind you'll have to not be able to cause interference inside his head otherwise she'll know somethings interfering with John's brain and from there they use willpower to resist as my team are now aware of what's going on...
Cortana resides 'between' your mind and the suit, interpreting electro-chemical messages in your brain and transferring them to the suit via your neural implants.
"so for lack of a better term, yes, Cortana will be 'inside' your mind
Cortana monitors John's mind so any interference TP may cause even if John can't detect it Cortana can.
But yeah you'll have to prove it has no effect on the brain to use it effectively here.
Countering TP (resistance)
So here i'm just going to be proving why my characters have the strength of will necessary to block you out...
Deadshot- Don't have the scans but in New-52 Suicide Squad 001 all the suicide squad had to endure brutal torture and only one of them spoke and they got killed. It was later stated out of over 50 candidates (all trained elite military soldiers who have passed the torture tests there) they where the only ones who managed to last. That proves their willpower.
Gilgamesh- Gilgamesh has transcended strength of character so much so that it is now more of a curse for him to not inspire/motivate/lead you... Also Gilgamesh was a epic spirit, meaning he in his lifetime performed deeds/feats/acts so great that he was revived by the grail to fight. In his legend Gilgamesh and his friend Enkidu outright opposed the gods even killing what they sent to stop him to stand up to gods is willpower.
Master Chief- Not many explicit scenario's (if you like i could try) but everyday of the covenant-human war Chief was faced with overwhelming demoralizing odds and every time would never falter always putting his life on the line to ensure humanity survives. He also fought for days on Halo fighting Flood and covenant even though he was clearly tired fatigued and in a bad way. His shear determination proves his willpower.
they all have unquestionably strong willpower
Stealth counter (detection)
Gilgamesh
I've got a few questions about aura detection and Gilgamesh:
How does it work? It is psionical? Auras are usually regarded as psionical manifestations of someone's mind, and so it works as mind reading or any other psionic power such as empathic reading or empatic auras detection. Since it is likely to be psionical, Psylocke can easily use her TP to shield my team from that psionic powers, since strong wills applies also to my team and I've had a telepath so one hell of a strong will. My bad aura-detection wasn't strictly correct. Servants are magical creatures by nature so they in fact detect in some sort of magical way that detects a presence but unless explicitly stated they have no TP.
Yes it has been used on non-servant entities. It has been used on magi (humans with magic) and servants have explicitly been stated to know a human from a servant and magi. In short yes servants have used it on humans and being a telepath or having strong will shouldn't matter as it's not TP.
As for using it on beings that can resist TP... Well the closest would be this...
So that should cover Archer's detection.
Now for Cortana...
Cortana/Master Chief
Now, your AI is going to be pretty useless here considering the setup of this battle.

My bad i was a bit ambitious and forgot to mention a few things.
The point was that due to the environment being suited to stealth with numerous hiding spots and the fact that at the start your team is no where to be seen it would become instantly apparent that your team is going for a stealth approach and from there she can upload stealth combat protocols into Chief's suit and predict that best route/method/position of a opponent using stealth. While it is not a exact location or a exact tactic John has counter measures for invisibility and stealth and of course Cortana will be able to predict the best possible way to have a effective stealth strategy and if your team elects to not choose the best way then... well they just won't be that stealthy.
Point being it will be apparent that you are using stealth tactics and Chief can be geared up for that while Cortana predicts where you will be/what you will do of that. Your right it doesn't know the opponents but it knows what is the most effective way and what isn't so while Mystique may avoid it due to invisibility (probably not though as both of them are used to fighting covenant with cloaking tech so they are no stranger to the tactics used there) Elektra will certainly be at a disadvantage. Basically she will be able to instantly deduce the best way to be stealthy whether their using invisibility or stealth and from there get a good idea of where you might be/what you will do but i admit it is not infallible.
I wouldn't place your money on Elektra taking down Chief and if you want i'll tell you but there's a few things here...
1) You seem to be disregarding the fact that there is a 500 m gap and my team know all the locations of your team (thanks to Gilgamesh, + a bit Cortana), just curious how she plans to get there secretly without getting ripped apart by snipers or swords (Gilgamesh).
2) How does she plan on sneaking up on Chief when Cortana has already dealt with stealth protocols, Chief himself has trained in stealth since 6 so knows a fair bit about what you will do, Gilgamesh has already given the locations of all your team.
Also funny you should say radar sense and all... because that is exactly what Chief has. Only with a tad more variety.
Motion sensor is quiet a misleading word as really it is a series of ways to detect a moving or non-moving object.
Modern good quality motion detectors use a combo of technologies and Chief has a armor that can produce force fields house a AI usually needing a entire 3000 m long star-ship to sustain it and lives in a world where light speed travel and opening wormholes is casual so his tech is going to far exceed ours...
Infrared- As it says it is sensitive to heat.
Microwave- projects microwaves then measures the reflection/doppler effect produced by it when it is moving.
Ultrasonic- Same as microwave but using sound waves (seeing as IIRC DD uses sound to map out everything this is exactly what he has)
Tomographic- detects disturbances in radio waves caused by a object moving or reflecting them in a different way to what they where e.g. someone stepping in and reflecting/obstructing/interfering with the radio waves.
So yes MC has what DD has but with the extra benefit of more technologies.
Unless Elektra can not produce heat, nor reflect microwaves when moving, not reflect sound waves, and not disturb radio waves then they can't get to Chief. This is assuming you somehow manage to cover the 500 m gap and evade Gil's detection beforehand remember.
So i think that pretty much raps up all the stealth methods.
Raw power
This is something not possessed by Psycloke but by Gilgamesh (i'll get into that later).
Anyway for now...
Ok, you have shields and a character that can go intangible. How do your shields and intangibility do against psionic darts or arrows? They disable other people's brains, by damaging their nervous sistems. It's psionic energy, not something you can easily avoid or pass through. They'd go through your shields and straight into your brain.
Them arrows could cause problems. Problem is that they really don't seem that impressive speed wise. It's something that doesn't seem to be able to tag any of them normally especially not at 500 m distance.
Not the guy who has/is below 0.001 second reaction time and has a AI that allows him to convert thought to motion instantly.
Nor Gilgamesh (speed feats if you wish but they take a long time to dig up)
And not Deadshot...
trust me Gilgamesh is the most powerful/dangerous here and i plan to say a lot more about him.
What to do next??
Now that i feel i have countered them points lets get into what my team can do...
i'm gonna put it straight with your teams locations compromised, a 500 m gap between your opponents, 2 snipers and 1 essentially sniper/rapid fire devastator the chances of your team winning are near 0.
there are numerous ways of winning this but for now i'll just put 1. I'm not going to address the point of close range as i will need proof that you can close that gap without getting killed.
Method 1- Snipers, snipers everywhere!
Floyd will target 1 of them
John targets another
And Archer... well if he doesn't elect to kill them all he'll target 1 too
Floyd's target-
well firstly it should be noted Floyd will be using the Binary rifle not his standard sniper as of course Chief has a spare sniper and we all know the only true weapon for a Spartan killing machine is the Splaser.
Now no matter who the binary hits... their dead.
Here's what the Binary really is...
Halo 4: essential visual guide
So yeah the binary fires antimatter from twin core-mounted particle accelerators. Basically upon contact the very composition of the target will be annihilated completely. Also particle accelerators!! we both know what they are and likewise we both know if you where in sight when that trigger was pulled no one in this battle would be able to move a muscle before they where hit.
Now it should be noted Floyd's indisputable accuracy...
Master Chief's target-
Likewise whoever Chief gets in his sights is also dead with no hope of dodging, even less actually.
Chief is using the Spartan laser. The most expensive weapon the UNSC own.
Here's why if the Splaser is fired your dead...
Muzzle velocity: 299792458 m/s (983 571 056 f/s)
Soldiers appreciate the range, accuracy, and target effect. They view the effect of “our own directed energy weapon” as a combat multiplier due to the psychological impact on combatants that viewed the destruction of the target.
It can be used in both anti-vehicle and antipersonnel roles.
The M6 is a splendid special application anti-vehicle slash anti-materiel weapon
Bungie
A deadly accurate weapon designed with the power to destroy vehicles (where talking Scorpions,Wraiths,Hornets,Banshee's etc. the ones with durability surpassing Chief) but with the capabilities of effective personnel use and light speed muzzle velocity.
This is a weapon that can casually one shot vehicles with 2/3 x the durability of Chief's shields. There is no weapon more powerful than this that can be carried by infantry in Halo not even the Binary rifle can match this and if you want i can show you some proof.
Anyway firing at light speed all Chief needs to do is get sights on you and its game over and due to the fact that he can shoot you from the other side of a building of through a wall and that he has years upon years of weapons experience + perception that makes people appear in slow motion this shouldn't be a problem.
Archer's target-
Well i showed you what Archer can do before and you didn't really counter it or prove you can survive it so i'll let that stand and get more detail next post.
Conclusion
TP or not my team still find out your teams location and that is all i really need.
A 500 m gap, knowledge of the exact locations of your team, and 2 one shot high high velocity weapons as well as Gilgamesh is just going to be too much
I really don't need to say much yet as i will need proof any of your team can survive the initial sniper assualt and even if 1 can then 3 v 1 is a losing match for you.
@veitha: okay put it in the tourney PM and i will wait for responses. If we do not get them or it is not conclusive lets just say you get the TP after all i have a aura detector.
@veitha: oh okay, when you say school do you mean collage or high school? Just curious because I myself am 15 and I don't usually find out the age of people here.
@veitha: oh okay, when you say school do you mean collage or high school? Just curious because I myself am 15 and I don't usually find out the age of people here.
mm, I'm from Italy, our high school ends at 19. I mean, we have nothing like your colleges, we got high school and then three years at university plus two other years to earn a specialized degree. Ooor maybe I'm messing with the translation?
