@killemall: Curious; where do you get these writer statements/replies?
Its a hard question to answer, I tend to read a lot of comic interviews and these are collected from various different sources.
The particular comment is from Chaos War: In the Field, which is sort of an interview Newsarama did with the writer and editor of Chaos Wars, a week after each individual issue came out.

Newsarama is probably the place that has most interviews.
There are others as well, for example CBR. They have a weekly talk with Axel Alonso, who is the chief editor in marvel.

Some creators have their own website.
Rick Remender has his own website where among other things he always post any interview he has had.

Marvel also used to produce stand alone issues called Marvel Spotlight, which has interview about upcoming events.

There are a lot other websites and things where you can find interview, I think this would do for now, don't want to flood you with too many information.
