@divell: Loebforce, that sh!t gives Rulk the ability to use Thor's hammer, Silver Surfer's Board etc. It's the only thing that gives him a shot in this fight.
Zero gravity should have never affected Thor's hammer in the first place and Rulk should have never been able to absorb Surfer's abilities even if Surfer was weakened. That was just a whole lot of bull via Loeb's writing.
I'm fully aware of both characters' capabilities. The only physical stats that Rulk should get the upperhand on is his striking power and energy absorption. Zod, however, trumps Ross in all other aspects because of his much more versatile powerset. I would however admit that the Hulks have much better reflexes than people would give them credit for.

reason? he was a brad new character they could make him do anything. absorbing any type of energy was part of his powers from the begining.

ok. though i can't argue for Zod his best feats was defeating Superman while amped.
