Rocky's standard weapons would put a hurting on most people. Thompson is one of them. I'm backing Rock here unfortunately, I love both characters but I like Thompson more haha.
@life_without_progress: As recently shown in the comics, (old) Venom would get stomped by Rocket, I'm not sure of the new upgraded one. It's abilities haven't been put to the test yet.
(I'm bumping this because it might become more interesting after a few issues of Black vortex at Feb.)
I don't know, they start pretty close. If Flash can close that distance quickly, I'd give it to him. Otherwise, Rocket.
@granitesoldier: how fast are Rockets reflexes?

I'm pretty sure that Thompson will be a top tier now.
@oreoassassin: I'd say pretty good. He's dodged laser fire, missiles, gunfire, and reacted to enemies that where using supersonic jet packs while using one himself...and shooting them without looking.
At the time this thread was made, I'd back Rock if he had any standard weapons better than his laser pistols. If Rock only has his laser pistols, I'd back Thompson.
It'll be interesting to see where Flash stands with his "upgrades", especially since a lot of people still think him "weak" like he was at the start of Remender's run with him (even though there's HUGE context there, but I've been over that plenty of times).
@hiddenlight: same here. Hes always been a solid Mid-Tier, but it seems like Bendis wants him to be up there in the High-Tiers
@granitesoldier: That seems good enough for Rocket to land a perfect shot and end it quick.
@oreoassassin: Yeah Rock has solid accuracy and his weapons carry enough fire rate and/or explosive radius that he can always fall back to accuracy by volume if need be.
@granitesoldier: @oreoassassin: One of the things I'd like to know; is if the upgraded symbiote is still vulnerable to certain frequencies of sound waves like the old one was.
I wouldn't mind if it still is, it could be explained as simple as being part of the symbiote's physiology I.E something that's not possible to just 'fix'.

He was way more resistant to sonic damage in his run as Agent Venom. Only specific sonic/heat weaponry truly hurted him, or some frequencies (Ultrassonic) like you said, but still the only thing that this was doing was making him angry, I wouldn't be surprised if he turned out to be immune now (Like Anti-Venom). Also, maybe the weakness to sonics was also a flaw, as while not perfectly bonded at the start of his run he suffered a trauma with Spider-Man getting rid of him with the bell, and being a from a metamorph alien race, maybe that event permanently changed his body somehow, but I don't know. Also, from what was said in panel, he is getting a completely new powerset, so we can't say much until we see it in action.
@hiddenlight: Yeah, guess we'll just have to wait and see.
