Police, Zhao never really impressed me and Lin should be able to take Azula.

Zuko defeated him in Agni Kai, and Aang defeated him by outsmarting him into destroying his own ships, but he was still an accomplished fire bender.

Zuko also defeated him handily in the finale of season 1, and he chose to run rather than face Iroh.

To be fair, it's Iroh. This was a smart move.

My friends and I are only partway through season 1 with Korra. We just started because we didn't want to have to stop and wait for new episodes and I'm assuming the characters get stronger later? Because right now we're seeing the "ancient magic problem" where old stuff is better and benders from long ago we're stronger.

That's why I paired him with Azula. Theoretically he should be a skilled fire bender and we have seen him produce a serious amount of fire. To me his emotions getting the best of him almost always seems to lead to his downfall.

He's a distraction that Azula can put to great use at least.

Metal Benders with those Whips and Shape Changing armour everyday. they have not only Metal, but can Earth bend as well.

Azula cannot solo Lin and Mako.

@lunacyde: Uhm so basically Lin and Mako vs Azula? Maybe(a very, very damn big maybe)could the current version of Azula win this(with Zhao as distraction), but pre insanity can absolutely not solo them(regardless Zhao as distraction).
