From most to least powerful, not necessarily who can beat who:

Gladiator, Sentry, Blue Marvel, Nova, Wonder Man, Thor, Beta Ray Bill, Hyperion, War Horseman Hulk, Vision, Captain Marvel, Binary

1. Thor 2. Beta Ray Bill 3. Sentry 4. Gladiator 5. Hyperion 6. Blue Marvel 7. Hulk 8. Wonder Man 9. Binary 10. Nova 11. Captain Marvel 12. Vision

Numbers 1-7 are a tough call. I hate having Hulk at a place that seems further down than perhaps he should be. Yet at the same time, it's almost like placing him 3rd here.

Such as: 1.) Thor/BRB = Thor & Thor clone

2.) Sentry/Gladiator/Hyperion/Blue Marvel = Superman clone

3.) Hulk

I would normally view overall power set something like - Thor > Superman > Hulk in this situation. So Hulk ended up after the "Superman clones" by default. I realize Blue Marvel has great potential for power, but his lack of history to back up any extensive feats leaves me questioning where to put him in relation to the others. I gave Sentry the edge because of his energy manipulation and potential for Void, MM ability, and other such versatility. I think Gladiator clearly has the greatest feats to back him up, out of the Supe group, to deserve the next spot. Hyperion exists in so many different alternate realities that are out of continuity or flip side versions of 616, I wasn't quite sure how to approach him. I looked at overall power potential for him, while taking King Hyperion into consideration, although I realize that isn't how he is always portrayed ... so I balanced him out in the middle somewhere. I know Blue Marvel handled himself well in late rounds with Hyperion once, but I still just can't get past his lack of showings. As far as Hulk goes - he doesn't have quite the versatility to his power set as the others, such as being outclassed in speed department and so on. But if we're speaking of power in terms of brute force strength and the raw energy contained within him, I could see it being debateable to place him above or around guys like Blue Marvel & Hyperion ... somewhere in the middle of those "Superman" types perhaps.

Gladiator's battle soak should vary as 5 when he is at low self esteem and 9 when he is at high self esteem. I just don't see how he is the lowest battle soak when at his prime.

What's your reasoning for placing Thor & BRB above Sentry?

Sentry is definitely a powerhouse in his own right and so I've been giving him more credit over the years, than when he was first introduced. I still consider Thor to be top tier of Marvel's elite heroes though, and consider him as a peer to guys like Silver Surfer and so on. Thor has alot of history behind him and if I look at his overall power potential when not holding back, such as the potential for warrior madness, or feats such as The World Engine, or times he has risen to the level of Asgardian King by birthright and had knowledge of the power & wisdom within ... I have to give him credit for such. He also holds what is argueably one of the most powerful weapons in the Marvel Universe. The vast versatility of Mjolnir would take a list the length of a Santa Claus scroll to write down. It's a plot device hammer that would make Batman's utility belt blush. Yet to be fair, it is magic after all ... and the concept of magic by its nature, defies many boundries and limitations. Then of course I looked at the fact that Thor did kill The Void. Maybe I'm just stubborn and old school, but I don't think Marvel has truly replaced their classic top guns with Sentry just yet - Regardless of what he seems intended to be.

BRB is meant to be nearly Thor's equal - A "space Thor" of sorts, that allows writers to spend more time away from the Midgard that Thor has sworn an oath to watch over. I know there are some out there who believe him to be even slightly more powerful ... but I don't view him quite beyond the original. Thor still has the direct bloodline to Asgard and is half Elder God.

As far as the Superman types mentioned, I admit I have a preference for Gladiator in that group. He's my favorite, but I honestly believe he has the most solid feats of the group and may be slightly physically superior to the others. Yet when it comes to the potential that lies within and energy manipulation, I had to give credit to Sentry. Although it pained me a bit to make that call lol.

Anyway, that's my opinion on it. Sorry if it was more long winded than you expected. How would you rank the group?

Yeah ... he's a great character and maybe I'm underrating him, but I just couldn't see putting him above Carol in her Phoenix Lite Beer mode.

That whole group based around (Nova, Binary, Cap Marvel) was a really tough call as well. It's a pretty competitive list at both the high & low ends of the spectrum.

At any rate, if you have any thoughts on why you placed Captain Marvel higher, I'd be interested in hearing it. It'd be nice to get a different perspective on something I might have overlooked.

Oh btw Gladiator is at his highest confidence and no Void for Sentry just to clarify

I see a lot of numbers here, but not a lot of explanation.

In terms of power, it doesn't matter who will win a fight, who is faster or harder to kill. It is about scale.

1.Cap Mar-Vell. IDK why his NB are weaker than when Gennis was using them, but I don't see him in planetary level, yet if we are talking just about Nega Bands, like I will next about Mjolnir - Gennis destroyed and reformed a multiverse with them.
2.Thor/BRB - Mjolnir and Stormbreaker are able to galaxy or even almost universal level feats in terms of energy absorbtion. Thor blocked bomb that was going to destroy 1/5 of universe. They have to be in second place just after Nega Bands.
3.Nova Prime. Nova Force gives him power comparable to Annihilus and in full potential it was blasting people like Firelord like nothing. Long before Richard take full Nova Force second time in Annihilation.
4.Sentry. He was able to overload Absorbing Man. It doesn't happen a lot of times and by this feat, he putted his own energy projection above Quantum Bands.
5.Quasar - drainning energy of a star.
6.Gladiator - containning explosion that destroy half of our Solar System.
7.Binary - planet level energy projection
8.Hyperion - planet level strength.
9.Blue Marvel - Anti-Man was planet level threat. I belive that Blue Marvel's anti-matter energy projection is in similar level.
10.War Hulk - ability to absorb Juggernaut's force field.
11.Wonder Man - survived nuclear explosion
12.Vision...

When looking at where Nova placed - I was not thinking in terms of Nova Prime. In which case he definitely deserves a nice bump up, while tapping full power of the Corps.

Captain Marvel Genis-Vell or "Insane Genis-Vell" Photon, and the potential massive power scale he is capable of, has me rethinking the list. I was clearly underrating him in that regard. I guess because Binary was mentioned to be very specific, in terms of an upgraded version of Carol's "Captain Marvel" status, I viewed Captain Marvel at more standard classic levels he's displayed.

I don't think Quasar was on the list ... but still an interesting choice to throw him in for debate. At any rate, thanks for the insight Czarn.
