David Hayter, who voiced Snake, actually played Guyver in the movie.

Guyver wins but I think it'd be close.

Pretty sure Guyver takes this easily.

Honestly, not sure who wins. I'll have to review feats for Guyver all over again, but he has multiple eyes, you can't get in his blind spots.

Raiden is a 100+ tonner though, he freaking judo threw a metal gear ray which weighs 500 tons. To throw the ray the way he did requires more strength then that, it's like holding a hammer at its base with your arm and hammer extended out.

Edit, oops he threw metal gear eXcelsus and that thing weighed a lot more than any other metal gear.

Guyver's beam was called laser by Chronos R&D chief:

And he can dodge such beam. Does this mean that Guyver have FTL reactions?

@redzkz: Not necessarily, unless if they describe it fast as light, not all beams move at light speed. Also, did he Dodge the shooter or did he actually see the beam moving in slow motion and moved out of its way?

Based on the image, this is 2005 anime remake of Guyver 1 so he only gets up to Gigantic at the most & only briefly.

@slimj87d:

Risker start to fire it (light in the middle of his head) and after he fired Sho managed to make a move to protect his friend:

@redzkz: Ionno, it's hard to analyze that. How was it depicted in the anime?

@slimj87d:

How was it depicted in the anime?

Dunno. Never watched it.

Edit:

Another dodge:

Dunno. What are feats for Guyver? How would he take Raiden's HF blade? He looks impressive with his energy projection but Raiden seems to be a lot better close up.

Agreed. If the beam is FTL then he'd probably be able to take it.

@redzkz: Did that happen after Agito's betrayal? Because the anime only gets up to the start of part 2 just reaching the point when Sho returns in time to stop ZX-Tole once and for all. Which happens before Agito betrays them.

#20 Posted by Redzkz (273 posts) - - Show Bio

@sightlessreality:

First dodge happens in chapter 3, and the next is after Agito steals Guyver's second form.Doesn't matter really, since even in his fight against Agito, Sho and Agito both use base Guyver form during this scene with dodging.

#21 Posted by SightlessReality (336 posts) - - Show Bio

@redzkz: It matters somewhat, since Sho skill wise gets better as the story progresses.

#22 Posted by Redzkz (273 posts) - - Show Bio

@sightlessreality:

Not really IMO. He mastered base Guyver during arc 1 (aliens space ship and Guyot black hole).

Other forms yes, but he never got any better with first form.

@redzkz: @slimj87d: Here you go for chapter 3 depiction in anime form. I'll get some stuff for mega smasher, vibro blades, & other stuff later.

@redzkz: Have to stay with anime depictions dude.

@slimj87d: Correct, & if you watch further on you can see them fight for a bit. It was still early on though. I'll get some other stuff that's further ahead.

#28 Posted by SlimJ87D (9923 posts) - - Show Bio

@sightlessreality: I watched the original anime as a kid.

If he hits Raiden with a megabuster then he wins. But I still think Raiden has better combat speed, agility and way better fighting abilities.

Guyver might be more durable and packs the weapons advantage.

#29 Posted by SightlessReality (336 posts) - - Show Bio

@slimj87d: That version only has 12 episodes.

the 2005 remake has 26 episodes. It also encompasses more of the story.
