Midnighter.
Midnighter vs Spiderman is debatable. Iron Spidey vs Raiden was locked with Raiden stomping.
Therefore this should be locked
@jay_z94: I don't get the 1st 4 who are incredibly biased. And it was debatable with deathstroke vs midnighter.

How is Deathstroke vs midnighter debatable but this is a stomp in midnighter's favour?
Raiden is stronger, faster, more durable and has the more powerful weapon compared to Deathstroke.
Unless that matchup had Slade with the Ikon suit...

Physically stronger? Most likely but Midnighter's striking power outclasses anybody in the Metal Gear Universe. His striking power has allowed him to hurt people with nuke level durability like Jack, Maul, Apollo and Sebastian. Midnighter's battle computer allows him to see trillion of scenarios prior to...well anything actually to the point where it's like precognition. It's what allows him to blitz speedsters who can blitz his entire team or react to a blitzing Apollo. Durability wise, Midnighter is still highly durability along with his healing factor and ability to turn off his pain receptors. It's what allows him to take hits from characters who are Class 100 like Jack, Maul, Sebastian, etc. And Raiden's sword won't slow Midnighter down at all, especially since he fought Zealot for hours straight and she managed to plunge her sword right through Midnighter's chest and cut a piece of his head off. And her sword can cut Captain Atom's energy blasts in half and very casually pierce Majestic.
@reaverlation: Thanks for explaining why Midnighter would win, i'm not very knowledgeable on him.
Judging by this, Midnighter would stomp Deathstroke (without the ikon suit/speedforce) with ease.
@jay_z94: Deathstroke could beat 5 Midnighters.

@reaverlation: Surely even if you tanked a nuke a sword can work just fine specially when it is enhanced. Wolverine tanked a nuke just fine and we already addressed that Raiden can cut through adamantium because of how the blade works. Because of that he was able to cut through CNT ( 100x stronger than steel ) plated with rigid armor quite easily. They stopped using nukes in metal gear universe. And also depends on what type of nuke. A davy crocket is a nuke but it can only destroy quite a small area. Metal Gears in rising have replaced muscle actuators with CNT already. To Address his durability we have Armstrong who one shotted metal gear excelsus. Metal gear exceslus was stated to ignore urban terrain like cities. It has the ability to burrow without any drill and managed to crack the surface while being a 1000 feet under so thousands of tons of rocks were displacing the giant metal gear which is 300 feet in length. Doktor even said that was overkill already. So with Raiden soaking most of the damage he survived a punch that sent a metal gear's parts flying. Raiden is without a doubt massively hypersonic to a point he sees bullets in slow motion and can cut a hundred times before a raindrop moves a centimeter. Raindrops literally stop moving when he uses his blade mode. Without blade mode he deflects machine gun fire. Raiden had an entire day of nonestop fighting during his climb to world martial with endurance addressed. As for precog Raiden has fought vamp who could read muscle movements and they count as precog. Vamp was capable of deflecting bullets with a just a tiny knife.
@reaverlation: Unless the guys tanked tsar bombs then I don't even know what to say. Other than that nukes give a large aoe force and are deadly due to immense amounts of heat distributed from the center to around up to a million degrees. Tsar bombs being 15 million but that is only the center. Being directly hit by a nuke sure but then the heat gets significantly cooler as the circumference. They kill by heat and massive explosive force knocking over buildings. Not that a think that nukes and attacking with swords are completely different and that being immune to millions of nukes means you can get hurt by blades but they are pretty different. Raiden's sword cuts through steel and buildings so clean that it was like cutting butter. If you have a blunt knife the cut wouldn't look as smooth. Since building remains don't completely disintegrate after a regular nuke and the pieces don't come off nicely then it didn't have the cutting power since nukes are built for cutting like hf blade does. But like I said Raiden was able to cut steel just fine and was able to cut CNT plated with rigid armor which is supposed to suppress the effects of the hf blade. Vibrating molecules weakening the material along with the sharpness and the speed and strength Raiden swings he can definitely harm midnighter.
Giving it to Raiden. He can perceive missiles moving at mach speeds at 10 percent their normal speed, so he shouldn't have a problem dealing with Midnighter(who's not even as fast if you ask me) plus clearly superior strength and he wins
midnight wins this .
1) Midnighter
2) Midnighter slaughters
Midnighter both rounds. He's pretty much better in everything except raw strength.
Midnighter. Raiden doesn't seem to have that much good striking power nor does he have any good durability feats.
this seriously cant be a match now is it? I hope people at the time would know he is dealing with a high-massively hypersonic 10k tonner OP sword solid mid tier
