Im Still iffy on the Soul Suck thing myself. In Codex CSM: 3.5 the battle between Kharn and Beserkers had Kharn chopping the arm off one. That Zerker was still alive and fine till Kharn Finish him.

Also to note is the material with the soul sucking had him fighting Slaanesh Worshiping Enimies Yes? If so then that explains alot as Khorn and Slaanesh are hated rivals which would contribut to that feat of Gorechild.
