Which Ra's Al Ghul is portrayed to be more menacing/dangerous out of the two between Nolan's Ra's and Arrow's Ra's? Which League is portrayed as more menacing/dangerous? Which League would win if they were in an all out war against each other? And why?

Arrowverse > Nolanverse in general, this match is no different.

Honestly, Al-Sahim solos the entire League of Shadows.

@allstarsuperman: @thenewbluebeetle007: Ok what I meant in this thread is not necessarily who would win in a fight, but who was portrayed to be a greater threat to the hero/world and which organization was more menacing in general. Like which League would be scarier to face

@nfactor1995: Featwise Arrowverse is superior for battles. But the way Nolan Ra's explained that the league had also been in Gotham seemed more menacing I guess. If I had to try to fight one, it would definitely be Nolans.

Shadows, The League has really fallen off this season, Laurel was fighting one evenly a couple weeks back plus last episode she almost died fighting a petty thief but was holding her own against two leagues fighters by the end of the episode.

She was getting beat to death...

She gets knocked down before engaging, gets kicked in the crook of her knee when she does engage, then manages to get beat around for a couple seconds before going down... she never gets a single hit in. She grabs one of their legs one time... doing no damage whatsoever.

Even trained veteran and armed ARGUS agent Layla was getting completely outfought without being able to get a single hit it.

League of Assassins mooks are rather consistent.

They aren't really consistent though, when they first came on the scene two was beating Sara but now people like Roy and Laurel was stalemating them.

You don't see a contract between the fodders above and the ones below.

The league of Assassins fodders are plot powered one episode they could subdue Arrow or Meryln easily then another episode they just gets destroy with little effort.

Season 3 has not been kind to them, also Laurel didn't beat the two fodders but she put up a good enough effort that two came to deal with her unlike Layla who was getting beat by one.

@the_kidd: Guys on the Malcolm/Oliver tier are able to take out small groups of ninjas by themselves, never more than three or maybe four. That makes sense, they're the two best fighters in the show besides Ra's. Never were fodder members of the league portrayed as rivals to Oliver, one-on-one he takes them apart rather quickly, I'm not sure where that rumor started that a single league member can sometimes subdue Oliver, but it hasn't ever happened on-screen. Even Roy and Diggle could take at least one of them comfortably, that also makes sense since they aren't pushovers. None of this takes anything away from the League though, it just means that Diggle and Roy are two of the best fighters in the world, and then Oliver and Malcolm are two of the best fighters ever. Laurel fighting them on even ground definitely happened, and it's definitely wrong, but that's the exception not the rule. Fodder League members have still taken apart groups of fodder gangsters with ease, and even trained characters like Thea and Lyla with ease. They still have a plethora of feats, being trained in numerous fighting styles, not feeling pain, dodging bullets and tanking arrows, etc. Generally the ninjas are very consistent, it's just that one time Laurel fought one evenly that confuses people. But besides that, they've never been portrayed as incompetent, just because the main character can beat you doesn't mean you're incompetent.

I'd much rather go up against Nolan's League than Arrow's League.

To be honest, that thug from the last episode WAS THE EXCEPTION to the rule, not that moment Laurel could fight off a league member, Laurel has repeatedly shown to be able to take out fodder easily ever since that one time she got fodderised by Count Vertigo.

@allstarsuperman: The reason I ask is that it seems like Arrow's League of Assassins seems to be almost a pointless organization...I mean why do they really exist and what do they do with all of their assassins? Nolan's Ra's at least gave an explanation of why the League exists and what they are around to do...they are around to maintain balance in the world and to not let one singular entity rise above the rest. And they were extremely efficient and effective in their methods. What is the purpose of the League of Assassins in Arrow?

@the_kidd: Ehhhh, they're inconsistent, but I don't think they're THAT inconsistent. Plus, the one time Maseo said "kill them" there's context of Ra's standing right there with the obvious plan of not killing them.

Merlyn's teacher isn't an average mook.

Arrow beating three at the same time is forgivable as he injured one to start and then fought them while they probably used equipment they're not familiar with in cqc (bows). Merlyn beating three is still pretty much OK.

Them dying to arrows and bullets is fine and not that inconsistent imo.

Laurel doesn't land a single hit on any of the two... just shows she fights in a different way than Layla who tried to use throws like a soldier and gets outmanuevered by a skilled martial artist.

I'm never really sure how good/bad Roy is.
