Quicksilver vs Spawn

Standard versions, standard gear, random encounter, win by death, incapacitation, or KO. Battle takes place in a metropolitan city (unpopulated). Quicksilver has basic knowledge of Spawn and his abilities; Spawn has no knowledge of Quicksilver. Who wins and why?

Spawn looks at quicksilver and quicksilver dies. I have no idea why you even thought that this might even be a challenge for spawn.

Everything after First Age Spawn spite-stomps Quicksilver.

Seriously, Spawn is pretty overpowered. Great character, but he's overpowered at times.

Flash vs Spawn largely depends on which Spawn. Hell King and Divine/God Spawn should handle Flash due to the variety of abilities he has, and none really require movement.

An argument for Second Age beating Flash could be made as well, since at that point he's already pwoerful enough to take on Superman due to his versatility. However on the Vine such thoughts are blasphemous.

Just because 2 characters have a similar powerset doesn't make a thread a balanced one. Their applications and levels of their powerset are marginally different.

@granitesoldier: 3rd age Spawn is the weakest incarnation. Him aside, I agree that 2nd and 4th age would indeed be a stomp.

I thought this was going to be movie versions which would be a little closer but comic standard versions is a huge stomp in Spawn's favor.

Everyone else is saying Spawn, and after looking through some debates w/the character I'd also have to give it to Spawn.

@nfactor1995: He isn't just so far below him in speed, but he also lacks the variety of uses with his powers that Flash has. Flash can hit with the force of a white dwarf star with an IMP. Quicksilver can't reach those speeds, and even when traveling something like mach 5, he couldn't even knock Magneto out on a sucker punch. Quicksilver was only slowly knocking Cyclops out, despite hitting him with dozens of punches at super speeds. Flash also has speed steal, speed force BFR, phase vibrations etc. Quicksilver can't do any of that. See what I mean in difference of ability?
