(Which it took awhile for it to regenerate back) And Yes, Quasars powers are EM based, but he uses a device that gives him that power. Magneto is basically one with the entire EM field.

Magneto is alot more powerful than Xorn and the real Magneto fought Phoenix also and did the exact same thing.

Green Phoenix, which wasn't very powerful.

Seriously Green Phoenix was a joke.  Quasar owned Rachel Summers when she was Dark Phoenix so I don't see how Magneto beating a weaker Green Phoenix is relevant here. 
That said, Quasar kills Magneto with ease. 

Xorn is far weaker than Magneto. Xorn was the copy-cat.

It does not matter, the EM Pulse isn't gonna work, cause Magneto would have to touch Quasar, which he won't, cause he will be dead via drain. 
 
So, no one cares about Magneto Defeating the Phoenix Force, due to the fact that Phoenix was Surprised by that.

We're not talking about Magneto vs Phoenix....also that was green phoenix, the weakest of the phoenix's. Also it wasn't dark phoenix, that picture is the same one as when xorn defeated phoenix but it was drawn by a different artists.  Quasar can tap into a LIMITLESS engery source. The bands possess some capability for analysing and processing information which will work in his favour.  He can tap into the suns energy to make him more powerful. Can wield some cosmic energy. He wins. Also get your facts straight

Quasar has drained Life Force before. Drain him of that.  I don't get why this still going on, Quasar Speed Blitz's him and it's over. Or he drains him and it's over.

Rachel (Phoenix) was and always is far weaker than Jean with the Phoenix. And Quasar didn't own her. He was having a hell of a time with her. Unlike Magneto who just reversed her powers. 
 

quasar takes this pretty easily. massively ftl in movement and combat speed, destructive capacity can go up to star level, shields strong enough to take hits from multiple 100 toners and shots from galactus, can fly through supernovas, can drain/absorb any type of energy and can drain a star. yep, don't see maggie doing much here.

Anything that Quasar fires as a form of light is EM. Even if he doesn't use light based attacks like using graviton particles against Magneto, that too is related to the EM field through Gravity and Mageto controls that to by making anti-gravity fields. So how can he completely destroy Magneto who is bloodlusted unless Quasar has the ability of destroying the entire EM Field which is impossible even to Quasar.
