Punisher (with prep) vs 300 Spartans

Xerxes contracts Frank to kill the 300 Spartans while on their way to the Hot Gates.

the 300 have no knowledge of Castle. He has 1 M240G machine gun, with 2 belts (400 rounds) of ammunition, 1 claymore, his pistol and knife.

Frank has 2 hours of prep to set up while the 300 are moving through the canyon. Can he kill all of them?

Does he have a silencer? If so, his chances aren't at all bad. If not, he's gonna have a very hard time but he just might pull it off, maybe 5/10 or 6/10 (their greatshields are gonna be a problem).

Nah no silencer. But initially the spartans wont know what the sound of gunfire is, until they start seeing the results. And nah, those shields arent stopping 7.62.

I definitely think a few of them could take him down, unless he places the claymore at his back to protect his flank

Punisher stomps. If ancient armor/shielding was effective vs gunpowder, they would have kept using it.

Keep in mind the Spartans won't know that his guns aren't some type of magic. They could even mistake him for a god.

He has 800 bullets, an explosive, and a pistol for 300 guys with no defense to his arsenal. He also has prep time.

Frank sticks the Claymore under a rock. Bye Bye 10-15 Spartans.

From a safe angle, Frank stands and shoots all 300 of the Spartans. The bullets go through their shields and them.

If they haven't already run off in fear, Frank rounds up the stagglers with leftover ammo and his pistol. On the off chance there is one or two left to challenge Frank, and he has no ammo left, he can take them due to better skill.

300 threads are stupid.

He takes the higher ground, and after the initial MG mowing, the remaining Spartans, despite their incredible training, will be demoralized or at least in shock, if current soldiers sometimes just choke or completely loose it, imagine humans that have never seen guns or their effects.

Should the spartan recover, Frank just keeps his distance and pops people with his pistol.

Pretty sure the 2 belts are supposed to be 400 total, but if he has 800 it's even easier.

You're aware that literally almost anyone could clear with these tools, right? You could clear with these tools. It's a freaking M240. It Fires a 7.62 NATO. That's a through and through wound, and that's 400 of them, lined up with a claymore, which can kill 50+ spartans since they move in a phalanx and are heavily grouped. He could be standing in the open, it wouldn't matter. He could kill every spartan before they got to him.

STOP UNDERESTIMATING ANCIENT PEOPLE.

he needs more ammo and equipment if he wants to survive this. depending on starting locations, the 300 could swarm him. buuut if it were me in franks place i would try to convince them that i'm a god hahaha.

Frank would stomp them Frank has prep to set up.Plus the weapons he has.He has more than enough bullets to kill them and is an expert marksmen and they have no idea he is coming so he will have the element of surprise

Wrong. I'd estimate that with Franks LMG ammo alone he could decrease the Spartans, who are crowded in at the Hot Gates, to 50-75 men. The survivors are injured. Frank kills 10-15 with his claymore. So that's 35-60 injured Spartans, who have just been decimated by an extremely advanced and unknown to them weapon, who are also completely shellshocked and demoralized, and would likely run away, faint, or curl up in a ball and cry, at this point. Frank Shoots off the the rest of them with his pistol, or walks around slitting the throats of injured Spartans who are lying under the corpses of their fellow soldiers.

Frank also has the element of surprise, knowledge on the 300 and if he wanted, the high ground.

The claymore swings this in favour of Frank imo.

All he needs to do is plant it in a good space & with the prep time he will imo.

Then just unload on the remaining Spartans.
