Round 1 should go to Clark, unless Proxima fires off her spear before he blitzes them.

How would they get one-shotted? Superman can't tank a planet exploding, let alone Proxima's spear which contains the energy of a supernova.

He can just blitz and one-shot her before she throws it.

The Duo still put him down, there weapon are above Superman.

Fair enough, but he won't. And if she throws it at close range, he's not going to be able to react to it.

Lightspeed projectiles can be reacted to. It's not uncommon.

Not by regular people/low superhumans, unless you're referring to general lasers in fiction. In that case, everybody has FTL reactions.

You don't need FTL reactions to block light speed attacks, you just need to aim dodge/block.

Yeah, you're right he probably aim-dodged.

Not picking sides here, but being fair, Captain America dodged lasers point-blank in the past, and Proxima spear was fast enough to easily catch Spectre in her pure light form, so those blasts are at least lightspeed+. Also, she never missed against Captain America, she just couldn't imagine the ability of the shield to deflect her blasts as they are known to ignore durability so she just probably ignored it. Again, not picking sides, just wanted to know what you guys think of this matchup.

Captain America's dodged lasers but that doesn't make him as fast as Superman. No she never missed him but if he can react obviously Superman can.

I know that, but what exactly he would do to stop the beams as they ignore durability and never stop until they reach their target? Remembering that he doesn't have a plot shield with him. It's not usual for him to flight at lightspeed+. Of course he can attack before she launches her attacks, but that would be in-character for him? Either way, I'm inclined to say that Superman wins round 1 from what I've seen here.

If she was able to tag Spectrum, I don't see any reason why Superman would be different, also she survived fall from orbit.

They clearly can't be controlled by her at the speed of light considering she lacked the control to stop them from hitting Corvus. And he could just tank them if he really needs to. He doesn't need to move at light speed, just faster than her aim (or even faster than she can see if he so chooses). And blitzing would be very in character for him.

Did she really? Because Spectrum has better speed feats then Superman actually, so yea i am leaning more and more towards the duo for both rounds.

@crushyourenemies: Probably because they tagged someone who's faster then Superman and have powerful weapons to easily put him down.

@dondave: They can react to Hyperion etc, there projectiles can move at light speed, and even though morals are on, even off; he would loose to there weapons...

Superman lololoblitzes them with incredible ease. Even if they were to miraculously tag him, they wouldn't be able to hold him down like they did to Hulk.

I believe that he is talking about Spectrum in her pure-light form, in that mode she can move at the speed of light and even running at her fullest speed she wasn't able to evade the blasts from the spear.

Her weapon will definitely tag and put down Superman, and Corvus can also as well.

I'm siding with the team. The deciding factor here is that Superman is morals on. It's unlikely he'd blitz two people he's never seen before due to not knowing their physical capabilities and if blitzing them could kill them.

On the other hand Proxima has been shown twice to start a fight with her spear throw. There's a good chance Supes can avoid it, and there's just as good a chance that he'll be hit by it given that he's attempted to tank attacks while being unaware of their composition or origin before. If Clark was to avoid the spear, taking into consideration that he's completely unaware of the tracking capabilities of the spear after it separates into three beams of black light, he's likely to be hit and while stunned and restrained by it, Corvus could deal a blow with his atom splitting glaive.

People need to be more open minded in debates instead of the usual speedblitz before a character reacts in every thread. If a character doesn't fight like that, it's not something they are going to do straight off the bat. This is why the battle forums isn't as good as it used to be when it comes to ideas and discussion.

Superman kinda does.

Superman has survived atom splitting blades before and still retained more power than most of the heroes in DC.

Superman is just too much of a powerhouse for these two. Too many showings.
