Most recent models seem to have such a feature build-in, even before his physiology was altered by Extremis. Such as when Baron Zemo used a device to mind control the entire Avengers crew and Iron Man was the only one completely unaffected, or when the Puppet Master tried to control him and it failed spectacularly. He has suffered from people trying to take control of him and his armors several times in the past, so he was particularly cautious on that point in recent years.

@Edamame:Well, if this turns into Iron Man vs Utopia, then it rather beats the purpose of the thread to begin with, and it may as well be renamed Iron Man vs X-Men, in which case obviously Iron Man can't take down the entire island.
