Battle 1-Professor X and Magneto vs Superman (pre-Flashpoint)

Fight is in New York City, Professor X and Magneto have 1 hour prep time. Superman has none. In essence, it's an ambush.

Battle 2-Professor X and Magneto vs Superman (New 52)

Fight is in Metropolis

VS

No prep for either team

Magneto can throw up a shield to stop Supes reaching himself and Xavier, whilst Xavier himself busts out his most powerful telepathy and shuts down Supes' brain.

Superman!

Mindrape or Mags can just replicate what Dr. Polaris has done to Supes...

If we add bloodlust, though, it's a whole different story.

Magneto is more powerful than Dr. Polaris, I believe. Is Superman vulnerable to mind control via telepathy?

Team wins. Superman could take them with a speed blitz, but since they have prep and ambush him Xavier can just mindrape him before actually attacking.

besides speed blitz superman gets beat badly.

superman doesnt have a chance because this isnt one person trying to hold a force field up while crushing supermans mind,its two,so easy win actually for the seasoned mutants.

Mags and Xavi take this, with prep and without a speed blitz, Clark has no chance.

And thanks to prep he won't have a chance to do so. Mag's shields are too strong + with prep he can make a pretty good armors and metal shields for them. If there, in DC is any metal similar to vibranium/adamantum, Magneto can solo, a specially with prep.

I take team FTW...supes is weak against strong telepaths, couple that with magneto things aren't going to turn out well..I know Martian manhunter and batman have helped train superman to avoid telepathic attack but I don't see him overpowering the professor

Good thing he doesn't need to blink to fry his mind and it's an ambush, if Polaris was a problem Magneto will be worse.

Superman...he is just to fast...

How resistant would Supes be against Professor X's telepathic attacks and is he fast/strong enough to break Magneto's shields?

Namor has actually walked through Magneto's shield's IIRC, so Supes shouldn't have a problem and Supes has defended himself against Grodd.

Yep. Prometheum is the counterpart of Vibranium while Inertron is the counterpart of Adamantium... Mags doesn't need any of the two though.

@superincrediblebatspider: Supes has limited psi-resistance as well as Torqasm Vo. Still, telepaths has time and time again proven that his defenses against them are not that tough. Case in point: Maxwell Lord.

I really don't understand the purpose of giving a powerful telepath prep time and the advantage of ambushing Superman. This is an instant win for team Magneto + Xavier. It wouldn't even be an ambush: Xavier mind rapes Superman on sight.
